Ascension

Weightless...that's what it felt like. No longer tied to the pull of the ground. No worries, no problems, no pain. Her mind was quiet at last. No anxiety or any emotion to grasp onto. Just...weightlessness. She slowly opens her eyes--meeting an abundance of stars and a serenity blue. Her body turns and looks in all directions to also find nebulas and galaxies. But something felt familiar about this place. It felt almost...one with her.

She motioned her body to move, and it did. As she passed through clouds of dust and stars, memories of her past played in her mind's eye--like a movie. All the faces of her loved ones smiling back at her. Ivee, Naoko, Rai, her mom. Her heart suddenly strung at her mom's face. Gratitude overtook the center stage in her emotion pool. No one could've asked for a better family. Then she saw him. The redhead that made her feel true love like no one else has. He stared back in such a loving way that she also smiled. But...after what he did, how could he smile? Unless...
She then felt something grand was pouring light onto her from behind. Something or someone had been waiting for her, and it was time to meet. Now, she was worthy.

Katerina turns around, and with the eyes of curiosity, sets them on a beautiful woman, with a golden mask covering the top part of her stardust face. The Goddess. This was the Goddess who blessed her way back when. On her palms, she had a sun, a new star being born. The Goddess extended her giant hand to her and Katerina reciprocated. Now she knew who this Goddess truly was. She felt pure unconditional love when their hands connected. Katerina's eyes closed as a bright but gentle white light engulfed her body.
Now, everything made sense, Katerina became aware--of everything, the truth, the history, the mysteries of the universe.

She ascended into The Goddess. Slowly leaving Katerina behind. The Goddess was her, and She was The Goddess.
