-Why am I even confronting him right now? Do I have a death wish? - Rai thought to himself as he ran into the desolate town. He could hear the thunderous boom of Logan's energy not too far from him.

-This has to be the worst time to do this but, I have to...for Kate.-

Logan finally came into view and he looked demonic. Second thoughts took over Rai's brain as he hesitated to let Logan see him.

-"I know you're here, blondie..."- Logan's mocking voice sinisterly sounded off. -"Careful not to get too close. You don't want to turn into a messy puddle of blood, now would you?"-

Rai's muscles tensed, and his bones began to shiver. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.

-What was I thinking? No, do it for her!-

-"Hey, Logan..."- Rai nervously greeted. The aura around them became heavy as Logan's glowing yellow eyes spotted Rai from afar. In the blink of an eye, Logan was already on top of Rai, staring him down.

-"W-Wait wait wait!!!"- Rai desperately shouted. -"Don't kill me!!"-

Logan's stoic expression lingered for a few seconds before he smirked. -"You're pathetic."- He walks past Rai.

-"Are you looking for Kate?"- Rai relaxed a bit after he noticed Logan's energy wasn't bursting like before.

-"You can say that..."- His voice slithered up Rai's spine in the most horrible way possible. Why did he have to say it like that?

-"You don't deserve her...do you see how many of her people you have killed?"- Rai spotted a shark metal shard on the asphalt and slowly bent over to pick it up, hiding it behind his back.

Logan's smirk vanished as he turned to Rai. -"And I would kill even more for her...but you and I both know this isn't the time or place to have this conversation. Kate and I are busy, so go and jump off the cliff or something."-

-"Man, fuck you!"- Rai shouted and at that moment something hit Rai so hard on the face that he crashed into a nearby building.

-"You fucking dare bring that attitude here and now!?"- Logan shouted, his fist steaming. -"I could kill you right now but I doubt Kate would want that."-

-"Y-You don't have to remind me..."- Rai grunted as he lifted from the rubble. He knew what he was doing. Kate would be so pissed at Logan if anything happened to Rai. So he was using this to his advantage to maybe hit him where it hurts. As he tried getting up his hand felt something sharp. He glanced to see a sharp metal pipe.

-"Kate would be so much better off with you around!"- Logan hissed.

-"Funny, I could say the same thing about you!!"- Rai suddenly lunged at Logan using the pipe to attack him. Logan simply blocked the attack with his hand and he laughed. Rai swiftly spun on the pipe, dodging Logan's other arm, and with a grunt, stabbed Logan in the neck with the metal shard, earning painful grunts from the redhead. Rai left the shard embedded in Logan's neck and quickly stepped back. If he survives this, it is certain Rai will pay for it with his head.

Logan ground his teeth as he held onto the shard. Eyes wide in pain and rage. He angrily grabbed the pipe that was now on the ground and threw it at Rai. The blonde didn't have time to dodge it, causing it to impale his shoulder and cause him to crash against a light post. Rai moaned and panted in pain, trying desperately to get the pipe out of him. He then heard a bitter chuckle and his body began to levitate toward the angry red.

-"You seem so serious about this."- Logan pulled the shard out of his neck, blood cascading down to the gravel. He firmly grabbed the pipe and ripped it out of Rai. Closing him in inches away from each other's face. Rai noticed Logan's iris had that red ring around it that shifted as his pupil narrowed. He didn't look like the Logan everyone knew. The white in his eyes was black as void, his skin was corrupted by these awful-looking veins, along with the burn marks. He was a menace and a danger to mankind. Rai knew he wasn't going to stand a chance against this demonic entity. But he would try anything to keep Kate safe from Logan's volatile nature.
