I walked out the door down a long hall. I turned left. Then left. I'll always go left. I decided. I finally opened a door. Straight into the Griever Hole. Shuck. I heard a lock click behind me. "No no no no no NO!" I screamed. Then I saw a note:
They won't hurt you, Kassidy.
That's all it said. So I decided to wait. I fell asleep for a long time. I woke up and saw Teresa standing above me. Well then. Chuck followed, then Thomas. I just kind of sat there. I was still groggy. Soon everyone else followed, and the Grievers had stopped moving. Only one thing came to mind:
Where was Claire? I searched frantically with no avail. Finally, I cried. She hadn't made it. I saw Zac, though. I ran over to him. He pulled me into a hug.
"I thought you were dead, Kassy!" He cried. I just hugged him back. Soon, we were all going down a slide.
"Ow." I said as I landed on Zac's arm. He had bony elbows! We stood up, and suddenly, Gally walked in, along with a woman whom I didn't recognize. Suddenly, Gally threw a knife at Thomas. Chuck jumped in front at the last second. Thomas held Chuck as he died. Then, he was on top of Gally, beating his face. I knew it wasn't Gally's fault that Chuck died, so I tried to shield Gally, and ended up with quite a few hard blows to my face. I was seeing stars. Then I saw nothing.
