I'm literally having sex with him in my dreams,❞ Seokmin groaned, slumping over the kitchen table as he stared into his cup of coffee. He had lost count of how many times he had replayed that dream in his head, each memory making his face burn with embarrassment.

Across the table, Minghao sat calmly, his eyes fixed on Seokmin as he sipped his tea. It was the weekend, and the day had started lazily for both of them. Normally, Seokmin would have spent his Saturday with Joshua, but Joshua had other plans-a date with Jeonghan. Seokmin's heart twisted at the thought, a mix of jealousy and resignation.

Seokmin rolled his eyes, more at himself than at the situation. ❝And now Joshua's off with someone else while I'm stuck here, obsessing over some stupid dream. It's ridiculous,❞ he muttered, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

Minghao nodded thoughtfully, setting his cup down with a soft clink. He had been listening quietly as Seokmin vented, his expression neutral but attentive. When he finally spoke, his voice was calm, almost measured. ❝If you're not willing to tell him how you feel, Seokmin, then you've got to do something about it. Either move on and find someone new, or maybe distance yourself from him if it's hurting you too much.❞

Seokmin winced at the suggestion, his fingers tightening around his coffee cup. The idea of distancing himself from Joshua felt like someone had punched him in the gut. But Minghao's words made sense. If being close to Joshua was causing him so much pain, then maybe stepping back was the only way to protect himself. The dream, though surreal, had forced Seokmin to confront feelings he'd been trying to ignore for too long.

But... how do I even do that?❞ Seokmin asked, his voice barely above a whisper. ❝He's my best friend, Hao. I don't even know how to start moving on.❞

Minghao leaned back in his chair, his gaze softening as he regarded his friend. ❝It's not going to be easy, Seokmin, and it's not something you can do overnight. But you can start by focusing on yourself more. Do things you enjoy, spend time with other people, and try not to think about him all the time. It's a process, but it's one that you can get through.❞

Seokmin nodded slowly, mulling over Minghao's advice. A part of him knew that distancing himself from Joshua was probably the healthiest thing to do. But another part of him, the part that had held onto these feelings for so long, was reluctant to let go. He wasn't sure if he was ready to move on, but he couldn't deny that his current situation was tearing him apart.

The silence between them lingered, heavy with unspoken thoughts. Seokmin's mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions-frustration, longing, and a deep sense of confusion. He sighed, running his thumb along the rim of his cup as he tried to shake off the lingering melancholy.

After a few minutes, Seokmin broke the silence, forcing a smile onto his face. ❝Enough of this depressing stuff. How about we play some games? I need to get my mind off things.❞

Minghao's lips curved into a knowing smirk, the serious atmosphere between them dissipating almost instantly. "Oh, you're on," he said, his tone lightening as he stood up from the table. ❝But don't think I'm going to go easy on you just because you're having a tough time. I'm still going to beat your ass.

Seokmin couldn't help but laugh at Minghao's confident tone, grateful for the change in subject. ❝We'll see about that, Hao. I've been practicing,❞ he shot back, standing up as well, his mood already lifting at the thought of some friendly competition.

The two of them moved to the living room, where the gaming console was set up. The screen flickered to life as they powered on the system, the familiar sounds of the game's intro music filling the room. Seokmin grabbed a controller, his fingers already itching to play. As the game loaded, he glanced over at Minghao, who was already selecting his character with a smug look on his face.

Get ready, because I'm not holding back,❞ Seokmin warned, his competitive spirit kicking in. Gaming had always been their way of escaping reality, and today was no different.

Neither am I,❞ Minghao replied, his eyes narrowing playfully as he clicked through the menus. ❝You've got no chance.❞

As the game began, all thoughts of Joshua and Seokmin's conflicted feelings were pushed to the back of his mind. The world around them faded away, replaced by the vibrant colours and fast-paced action on the screen. They bantered back and forth, laughing and taunting each other as they played, the tension from earlier slowly melting away.

For now, Seokmin allowed himself to focus on the present, on the simple joy of spending time with his friend. The future and his complicated feelings for Joshua could wait. Today, he was just Seokmin, battling it out with Minghao, and for a few precious hours, that was enough.
