The Doctor and Jayde quickened their steps as they walked side by side down the hall, going to the main room they began at. The brunette was still seething with anger, her eyes wouldn't sizzle out, and the doctor was getting worried. He hasn't seen a Trenqoxian like this is so long, he almost forgot what it looked and felt like. His hearts breaking at seeing how scared she was, and turning that fear into anger. "Jayde..." He spoke quietly, her head whipping towards him. "Rose is okay now. She's safe, and I'm okay. We're okay," he rubbed her arm as they continued walking.
He was right, the two were all right and weren't harmed. She exhaled, closing her eyes, and reopening. "I know." He smiled at her as the duo finally made it to the main room, voices ringing out into the open as Jabe spoke.
"How's that possible? Our private rooms are protected by a code-wall. Moisturize me, moisturize me." They heard Cassandra say, as the doctor took the small metal spider out of Jabe's hands. Jayde looked at it with confusion, not understanding what this little metal creature was.
"Summon the Stewart!" One of them shouted. Jabe turned her head to him.
"I'm afraid the Stewart is dead." She said, everyone gasped. Jayde ignored them as she watched her best friend fiddle with the innards of the spider.
"Who killed him?" He asked.
"This whole event was sponsored by the Face of Boe! He invited us. Talk to the face! Talk to the face!" Cassandra exclaimed. Jayde glared over at her. She's about to go over there and sock her flat face.
"Easy way to finding out. Someone brought their little pet on board. Let's send him back to master." He set the spider on the ground as it roamed towards Cassandra, looking up at her before scuttering away, both Jayde and the Doctor found that suspicious as it stopped in front of the hooded figures.
"The Adherents of the Repeated Meme! J'accuse!" Cassandra said. Jayde chuckled dryly as she walked forwards a bit with her brother.
"That's all very well and really kinda obvious. But if you stop and think about it..." The hooded figure tried to hit him, but Jayde grabbed it's arm and glared at it.
"Now that's a bit rude, hasn't mummy taught you any manners?" Jayde ripped the arm off with barely any force. She smirked as she looked at the metal in her hand.
"A Repeated Meme is just an idea. And that's all they are, an idea. Jayde." She tore a piece of the arm out, which caused the small group to fall to the ground.
"Remote-control droids. Nice little cover for the real troublemaker." Jayde tapped the small robot, "Go on, sweetie. Go home." The little spider went to Cassandra.
