Another day passed and it seemed like despite being the new kid Ash was already gaining a reputation around school. However, the students who were already popular in school weren't taking this so lightly.
Ash arrived to school with his Pikachu on his shoulder as usual. As he's walking to his first class he is suddenly approached by a tall, muscular looking kid. He had an annoyed and intrigued expression on his face. He was also accompanied by another boy who looked just as annoyed.
"Hey you! "He said abruptly. Ash turned around to face the two boys. He didn't seem intimidated in the slightest by the two of them. He stood there waiting to see what they wanted.
One of them, a blonde haired tall boy named Jack stepped closer to him. "You're the new kid, Huh? Word on the street is you're one hell of a badass," Jack stated, folding his arms.
Ash shrugged not really caring for a teensy reputation. "Meh, not really."
Jack didn't like his nonchalant attitude towards everyone. "You know, I don't like your attitude. That's a problem..."
"Okay? I don't see what the problem is here with you and your buddy over here," Ash said remaining calm. Jack was starting to lose his patience and so was his friend.
"You want to start choosing your words carefully here, kid... you're ruining our reputation with your nonchalant social crap. A few days in and you're suddenly the talk of the school. Pathetic," Jack said.
"Sounds like a childish thing to get pissed off over. A reputation in school doesn't give you anything. It affects your ego, and that's it," Ash said, still remaining calm. Hearing this, Jack had enough. He pushed Ash aggressively sending him to the floor. As they were in the hallways this immediately caught the attention of a few students.
Having been caught off guard by the sudden shove Ash stood back up immediately now a little less calm. "Hey! The hell is your problem?!" Ash shouted at him. The two began to square up as Gary and his friends saw what was happening.
"Oh shit.. wonder what's going on over there..." Gary muttered. Paul noticed too and wondered how Ash would handle the situation. Jack shoved him again this time Ash hitting some lockers with his back and falling onto the floor again. Pikachu hopped off his shoulder ready to attack.
"No Pikachu... it's not worth it," Ash said. Pikachu stopped but gave Jack a glare. Froakie came out of its Pokeball sensing the impending danger his new trainer was in.
"Don't do it Froakie..." Ash dismissed. Froakie did as he was told and stood close to Ash in a protective manner.
Jack smirked seeing how Ash's Pokémon wanted to help him.
"Aww how cute. Your cute little Pokémon want to help you out. How Pathetic," Jack said mockingly. Ash wasn't about to take disrespect about his Pokémon, friends, Partners. He stood up and swung his fist in an uppercut motion at Jack's face.
As Jack was sent to the ground, security and a few staff came rushing to separate the two boys. They took Ash off Jack before he could do anything else and they took Jack separately.
"Enough!! You two, principles office! Now!" Security said. The two of them were escorted to the principles office while the students watching calmed down as the fight was put to rest. Serena, the honey blonde beauty of the school had been watching in awe. She was impressed by how Ash handled it, but angry that he was pressed for seemingly no reason.
After school
It was a long day especially after the long talk Principle Lysandre had given him and Jack. They were forced to shake hands and apologize to one another, but deep down Ash knew he'd just made a new enemy. Not that he cared.
"Ashy-Boy~," He heard a voice from behind. It was feminine meaning it definitely was not Gary. He turned and sure enough it was Leaf.
"Leaf? What's up?" He asked.
Leaf had a playful smile displayed on her face. "Oh nothing~. Just witnessed my little cousin get his ass whopped earlier today," She said teasingly. Ash raised his brow.
"Ass whopped? Did you not see me almost kick his ass before those security punks came and stopped us?" Ash retorted.
"Ooh I did. It was kind of impressive to be honest... how easily he overpowered you," Leaf stated, her playful smile growing wider. She knew damn well what Ash was capable of when he was genuinely pissed off.
"Look, if you're going to keep bringing that up and being childish about it then just go away!" Ash whined.
Her smile faltered at his words. "Wait, wait, wait. Can I walk home with you?" She asked swiftly. Ash raised a brow and shrugged.
"As long as you keep that big mouth of yours shut," He responded. After he agreed she grinned. Sometimes she found it too easy to tease Ash. She loved the playful banter with her cousin but he made it so difficult to play along.
