After Ash was registered for the Junior cup and class ended he was now walking out of school. Upon walking out with his buddy Pikachu on his shoulder he noticed that Blue haired Girl, Dawn with the honey blonde haired girl. For some reason Ash felt as if he could never avoid these two.
Dawn was the one to walk up to Ash first with a friendly smile.
"Hello Ash," She said with her hands behind her back.
He cursed under his breath. "Hiya... umm..."
Dawn shot him a glare. "Are you serious?! You forgot my name already?!" She shouted in frustration.
"Sorry... remind me again please," He said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
"Ash you silly Baka! It's Dawn!" She said.
He raised a brow. "The hell is a Baka?"
Serena giggled amusingly. "Never mind that. What are you up to Ash?"
"I was just walking home..." He Said coolly.
"Ooh mind if we join you?" Dawn asked. She didn't really mind walking with Ash, but deep down she was doing this for Serena. Serena just looked over at Ash with a hopeful look.
"Sure, why not," He shrugged. With that he continued walking with Dawn and Serena now in tow. The walk was silent for the most part as Ash didn't say much. Dawn decided to ask Ash some stuff just to get to know him a little better.
"Sooo Ash? Where did you say you were from?" Dawn asked.
"Kanto, a little place called Pallet town. It's where I grew up. But I like to travel a lot so I haven't been home in a while," He responded.
This peaked both the girls attention "Ohh. So you're from the same area as Gary?"
"Yeah. Me and that fool grew up together as childhood friends." Ash said, managing to crack a small smile for once. Dawn and Serena looked at each other.
"Oh wow. So you've known him for way longer than we have." Dawn spoke up.
"Yeah... he's... I don't know. I feel some way about Gary," Ash told, just beginning to open up a bit. Dawn put her hands behind her head as the trio continued walking. Serena Just Don't know how Dawn was doing it. How she was making conversation so easily with Ash which seemed virtually impossible for her.
"What do you mean Ash? Tell me, please," Dawn urged.
Ash sighed. "I don't know he's... my best friend sure... but sometimes he's difficult to take serious. Always having that playful banter with everyone and constantly causing trouble for his own amusement," Ash described him perfectly.
Both Dawn and Serena knew this was true and couldn't really argue with his point.
"True... but the thing is that's just how he is. He's not the type of person to put up a fake personality. He's just himself... to be honest that's something I respect about him at the very least," Dawn admitted.
Ash nodded. Fair point. He wasn't going to argue with that. Eventually they were getting close to Vaniville town now and Ash's home.
"Speaking Of Gary... are you going to his Halloween party this Friday Ash?" Serena asked. Ultimately she was hoping he would go seeing this as an opportunity to be with him some more.
"I'll think about it for sure... I'll let you know. For now I need to find another gym battle," He replied.
"There's one in Shalour city if you want to go there next. I heard rumors that the gym leader there is quite tough," Serena replied, looking through her map double checking.
Meanwhile Ash shrugged it off. "Shalour City it is. I'll go there next. Thanks for your help," He nodded and smiled. Just this simple gesture was enough to make Serena completely lose it internally. Dawn noticed this and had a sly grin on here face but didn't say anything.
"Okay Ash, we're going to be heading this way now. We'll see you tomorrow," Dawn said, chuckling lightly at her blonde haired friend. After the two girls left Ash pulled his phone out and called Gary.
"Sup Ash-boy," He answered quickly.
"Hey Gary. About that party of yours... what the heck are we doing anyway?" Ash inquired. There was a short pause on Gary's end.
"We're all just going to just chill at my place and hangout. Nothing boring and no drama trust me. I promise you won't be disappointed bud. You coming man?" Gary Asked.
Ash sighed but decided to give it a chance. What's the worst that could happen anyway? Not like he had anything to lose at this point.
"Sure, I'll be there," He finally responded.
"Great! I'm glad dude. It's this Friday so pretty soon bro. See you then!" He hung up.
Again I apologize for randomly disappearing and not saying anything for almost a month. I will try to be more consistent from now on!
