y/n was now standing in front of her mirror. she quickly shed the school uniform that made her feel too visible, too recognizable, and changed into something that felt more like a shield than just clothes. she pulled on a pair of loose-fitting sweatpants, their comfort wrapping around her legs like a soft embrace. over her head, she tugged a plain black hoodie, the fabric slightly worn from use but still reliable. it was the kind of outfit that could blend into any crowd, the kind that made her feel invisible. after all, fame doesn't erase a person's fundamental right to privacy. she just wanted to go out and have a day to herself.

once dressed, y/n grabbed a face mask from the box on her dresser. it was a simple mask, light gray in color, but it did the job of covering the lower half of her face, hiding her identity from those who might recognize her. the last thing she needed tonight was to be swarmed by fans or, worse, to cause a scene that could end up on social media. she carefully adjusted the mask, ensuring it was snug before pulling up the hood of her sweatshirt, casting her face into shadow. it wasn't the most effective disguise, but it would help her stay under the radar as long as she kept her head down. with a final glance in the mirror, she nodded to herself, feeling a small sense of relief.

this would do. she could pass as just another teenager out for a late-night walk, someone who didn't want to be bothered. and tonight, that was exactly who she needed to be.

ready at last, y/n grabbed her phone from her bed and tucked it into her hoodie pocket. she didn't bother to say goodbye to her father or iku. the thought of it made her stomach churn with irritation. she couldn't stand spending another minute with either of them. so instead, she slipped out of her room, moving quietly through the house until she reached the front door. when she finally stepped outside, the cool evening air greeted her, a welcome contrast to the stuffy atmosphere inside.

the moment the door clicked shut behind her, y/n felt a weight lift off her shoulders. she was free, if only for a little while. she glanced down at her phone, opening up a map of the area. the closest town within walking distance was buraza, a small town that was relatively quiet compared to the bustling city. it wasn't a place she frequented often, which made it the perfect destination. the chances of running into anyone she knew were slim, and that was exactly what she needed. y/n shrugged to herself, pocketing her phone.

buraza would do.

without another thought, she started walking, her pace leisurely as she made her way down the driveway and through the gates. the streets were mostly empty, the occasional car passing by, but otherwise, it was quiet. she could hear the faint hum of the city in the distance, but here, it was just her and the sound of her footsteps on the pavement. as she walked, y/n kept her head down, her hands tucked into the pockets of her hoodie. the anonymity was comforting, a stark contrast to the life she lived every day. she wasn't y/n, the idol, the public figure that everyone recognized. she was just another person in a hoodie, out for a walk and nothing more. and for the first time in a long time, she felt like she could breathe.
