Time passed and Obanai's wounds, which initially looked dangerous, slowly healed. His body, hardened by years of fighting demons, regenerated faster than that of an ordinary human or demon slayer.

And to y/n the most important thing was that her dad was finally feeling well enough to leave the butterfly mansion. Now they could return to normal functioning.

Y/n's birthday came unexpectedly quickly, bringing with it a mixture of joy and sadness. The girl, although she was always happy for this day, knew that on this day her real family was taken away from her. Although she didn't remember everything.

It was then that the demon took away her parents and grandmother, leaving her alone in the world. But it was also on the same day that she met Mitsuri and Obanai, who since then became a father and mother to her. They gave her the warmth and love she needed so much.

However, even if the memories of her real family were still hazy, y/n felt like she couldn't ignore them.

Together with Obanai and Mitsuri, y/n visited the graves of her parents and grandmother, whom the two buried together right after y/n was found. The place was peaceful, surrounded by trees that whispered softly in the wind.

The names of her family were carved on the stone tombstones, and there were wild flowers growing around, which Mitsuri nursed them from time to time whenever she was near this place, ensuring that the memorial site was always beautiful.

The three prayed in silence, each in his own rhythm. Obanai, serious as ever, bowed his head, whispering words of prayer, while Mitsuri, more expressive, let out a few tears, praying for the repose of the souls of y/n's family.

The girl stood between them, also holding her hands in a gesture of prayer, drawing strength from their presence. Despite the blurred memories, this moment was still difficult for the five-year-old child.

When the prayers ended, there was silence. Only the sound of the wind and the singing of birds interrupted the peace. Y/n looked at the graves of her loved ones and then at Mitsuri and Obanai, who stood next to her like two pillars of support.

Obanai returned his gaze and knelt down next to y/n, placing his hand on her shoulder, opening his mouth to show her support.

"Your parents are definitely proud of you,
y/n. They look down on you and see how strong and grown you have become. Mitsuri and I... will always be here to protect you. You can always count on us, you know that, right, snakie"?

Y/n smiled through the tears that had been welling up in her eyes for a while, appreciating every word Obanai said. His presence was like a solid rock to her, unwavering, no matter what happened.
