Chapter 22: Sibling Love

It has been a couple of weeks. Nine months into Liv's pregnancy now. Her water suddenly broke while she was at home. A few weeks prior to this, Spencer and Liv had decided they didn't want to go through another water delivery, so he had rushed her to the hospital. Thankfully, the day before Liv water broke, Savani had already been at her godparents house (Ej and RiRi House). For the reason, that they preferred that she weren't at the hospital during all of this.

At The Hospital

Liv was brought straight into the labor and delivery area. Her contractions were occurring minutes apart, and she was in horrible discomfort. However, as compared to when she had Savani, she wasn't taking any kind of medication during her labor. Her son's birth was by far harder than she expected. Due to already booked flights, their family was unable to attend the delivery. The doctor had came in and checked how far she was dilating and she was already 10 centimeters dilated.

Doctor: It's time to start pushing Olivia.

Spencer: (holding liv's hand) You got this baby!

Liv: Arguuhh.

Doctor: I'm starting to see the head.

Liv: THIS HURTS SO BAD (tightly squeezing spencer's hand)

Doctor: Almost there keep pushing.

Liv: (screaming)

The baby was out after three more pushes.

Doctor: Spencer, would you like to cut the umbilical cord?

Spencer: Yes of course.

Afterwards the baby got cleaned off by the nurses. Olivia was crying with such joy when they gave her the baby at that moment. Spencer leaned over to look at their new happy little bundle of joy while shedding tears.

Liv: (looks at spencer and smiles)

Spencer: (kissing her forehead) You did it baby.

Liv: He is so perfect (eyes filled with tears)

Spencer: That's my son.

Liv: He kind of look like you babe, even though his looks haven't fully developed.

Spencer: That's my little jr.

Nurse: What is his name?

Liv and Spencer: Syven Akai James.

Liv: I can't wait till savani meets her baby brother.

Spencer: She's going to be so excited.

Their baby was then taken by the nurse who weighed him; his weight was 6 pounds and 2 oz. After that, they gave their family a call to introduce everyone to baby Syven. Everyone was complimenting him on his appealing features and cuteness. The nurse gave Olivia a check-up, making sure she was okay and attending to any needs. They then had skin-to-skin contact with him. Liv decided to begin nursing him after that. The next day they took the baby again to perform all of the required testing.

Spencer placed everything in their hospital bag and sealed it. Getting and putting baby syven in his carseat. While the nurse is pushing Liv in the wheelchair. They got in the car and headed home, waiting for savani to be dropped off back home by riri.

Spencer and Olivia House

Spencer: Baby do you need anything?

Liv: Not right now.

Spencer: (helps her get comfortable on the couch)

Liv: Can you bring me syven so i can feed him.

Spencer: (takes him out and hands him to Liv)

Liv: Riri should be almost here.

Spencer: Aight I'll go check.

RiRi knocks on the door.

RiRi: (hugs) Hey spence, where's liv?

Spencer: Wassup riri and over there on the couch.

Savani: Dada (reaching for him)

Spencer: (picks her up) Hey baby girl, daddy missed you.

RiRi: Hey girll, omgggg look at him he is so adorable.

Liv: Heyy and im saying he is so perfect.

Savani runs to her mommy.

Liv: Hey baby but be careful.

Savani: Ba-by (pointing her little fingers at syven)

Spencer: That's right baby girl, that's your baby brother.

Liv: Wanna hold him?

Savani: (nodding her head yes)

Spencer lifted her up and sat her down on the couch just next to Liv. With lots of cushion beneath her arms covered in blankets, Liv gently places baby Syven in her arms, guiding her to make sure that she is holding him properly. Liv and Spencer exchange glances as they see Savani holding and embracing her brother. Savani then gives Syven a kiss on the cheek while smiling. 

RiRi: This is so cute!

Liv: Right my babies, but how was she spending a couple days at your house?

RiRi: She was honestly pretty good playing with zarielle. She didn't give me a hard time.

Spencer: Wow, I'm shocked (laughs).

Liv: Seriously not even once?!

RiRi: (laughs) nope.

Liv: Aww she was a big girl.

RiRi: She really was but I gotta go, I'll see you guys later.

After saying her goodbyes and giving hugs to everyone, riri left. Shortly after Syven starts crying, Liv picks him up from Savani arms and begins to rock him.
