Chapter 31: A Big Opportunity

It's been awhile since Savani started High School and Syven finishing his last year in middle school. Both of them have been adjusting in well. Savani even tried out for the cheer squad and made some new friends. Syven wanted to continue playing football, just like his father had done while he was in school.

Spencer and Olivia House

As they were all seated around the dining table, eating their food.

Syven: Dad, after practice tomorrow could you take me over to Zion's house?

Spencer: Aight I got you.

Syven: Thanks dad.

Savani was smiling at her phone and laughing out loud, as her head was down buried as she was texting with someone.

Liv: (laughs) what got you smiling over there baby?

Syven: Probably a boy.

Savani: It actually isn't, I'm laughing at something zarielle sent me.

Spencer had given her a serious look.

Spencer: Better not be.

Savani: Dad... are you seriously going to believe him?

Spencer: I don't wanna believe that baby girl.

Syven: (laughs) I'm not wrong and you know it.

Savani: Stop talking to me you weirdo.

Syven: I don't wanna talk to your big headed self anyway.

Savani: (rolls eyes) But you're still going.

Liv: That's enough.

Once they finished eating, the kids had gone upstairs to get ready for bed. As Olivia and Spencer had cleaned the kitchen up, putting the dishes away. Spencer had brought up a comment made during the dinner.

Spencer: Do you think Sj was right about a boy texting Savani?

Liv: Babe she said it was zarielle texting her.

Spencer: Why would Sj say that then?

Liv: Maybe to mess with her, Jordan used to mess with me alot when we were kids.

Spencer: (laughs) Yeah you right.

Liv: (hold his face) We trust her and if it was she would come to either one of us.

Spencer: (sighs) I know she would.

Liv then placed a tender kiss on his lips. After they made their way upstairs to their bedroom to get ready for bed as well.

A Few Weeks Later

Spencer had left for his practice, and the children had left for school. Liv has been working hard for the past few weeks to get one of her books turned into a second series. She has been attempting to get it picked up in a production studio by someone. Following an endless number of tries by others to take advantage of her or scam her, as well as after reviewing documents that were merely intended to exploit her.

She received an incredible offer from a firm called Star Productions that was based in Los Angeles. ​​The fantastic news that she had gotten took her by surprise. To be sure everything was legitimate, she had her mother review it all, and she confirmed it was. She hasn't disclosed this to anyone but her mom, even though it's a big opportunity. She was going to tell Spencer as soon as he got back home.

Spencer and Olivia House

When Spencer arrived home, the children were working on their homework upstairs. On the couch, Olivia and Spencer were snuggled up to one another.

Liv: How was your day?

Spencer: It was rough since we got an upcoming game coming up and Coach Montez was pushing us hard on the drills.

Liv: Babe you got this, if anybody can win a game it's Spencer James.

Spencer: (places a kiss on her lips) How was your day?

Liv: Actually I got something to tell you.

Spencer: What is it?

Liv: I got an offer from star productions that they would love to work with me to get my newest book out on a series!

Spencer: (hugs her tightly) Baby that's amazing news. Did you make sure it was legit before accepting it?

Liv: Yeah I had my mom check over everything and it is.

Spencer: I'm so proud of you.

Liv: (holds his face and kisses him) Thank you baby.

Spencer: Do the kids know?

Liv: No not yet, how about I go tell them now.

Spencer: Maybe right after I show you how proud i am of you (smirking)

Liv: Mhm I like the sound of that (smiles)

Liv groans as Spencer rises up getting on top of her and plants a passionate kiss on her neck that continued all the way to her lips. Liv closed any spaces that were left between them by pressing her body upward in his direction. As her arms gripped a hold of his neck, he rubbed his hands down her thighs and lifted her up, allowing her to wrap her legs around his waist. He then carried her upstairs to their bedroom locking their door and continued making love.
