Before the storm

Krystel's POV

"Each peldovian has an aura that is wrapped around our body. This aura serves as a shield that protects our body and serves as our defense. An aura exists thanks to our mana. So, if our mana is powerful, then our aura is strong. Our aura represents our presence depending on our mana. It can be weak, strong, or even indestructible."

"An aura protects our body, but if we know how to take advantage of it, we can also use it to strengthen, sharpen, and speed up our weapon. Be it a sword, a bow and arrow, or a spear."

I let out a big amount of breath before doing again what I have been doing for almost an hour now.

"Try to feel your mana core and circulation of your mana. Once you have succeeded in doing it, manipulate your mana and wrap it around your body. Properly control it or else the circulation of your mana might go south which can lead you to the afterworld."

Feel. Control.

"Next, wrap your mana around your body. While you are wrapping your mana around your body, combine it with your aura. Before doing that, make sure you can feel the presence of your aura."

Wrap. Combine.

"Lastly, slowly gather your combined mana and aura and pour it at the weapon you are currently holding."

Gather and pour.

"Remember, lads. Even the thinnest and worn-out blades will sharpen if poured with these."

As Sir Orden instructed us in our class a while ago, I slowly manipulated the mana I felt from my mana core and wrapped it around my body.

After combining my mana and aura, I slowly gathered a small, calculated amount of them and carefully wrapped them from the grip of my sword to the edge of its blade.

I have been doing this for almost an hour now, I really hope I'll succeed this time.

With sweat dripping down my face that could almost fill a whole bucket, I closed my eyes and tried to feel the two combined energy wrapped around it.

A delighted and triumphant smile formed on my lips when I finally successfully poured the combined mana and aura into my sword.

YES!

Napamangha pa ako nang naramdaman ko ang pinagkaiba ng hawak kong espada kumpara sa kanina.

The appearance of my sword didn't really change, the same as its form, but the feeling it gave to me changed. It felt stronger, more powerful, and more harmful.

I, then, tried to lift it higher and when I did, my mouth literally fell open when my sword became lighter in weight!

I'm sure as hell this would also be faster to wield!

To satisfy my curiosity, I positioned my body to a fighting stance and tightened my hold on the grip. Then, I turned to a wide area because it felt like I just must.

Finally, I swung my sword in my chosen direction.

But who said this would be easy? I seem to have forgotten that.
