Rai woke up to her alarm ringing loudly the annoying sound piercing through her head
She groaned and reached over to hit the snooze button
She laid back down hoping to get back to sleep but before she could close her eyes she heard her mother's voice shouting up the stairs.
Rai get up now please her mother called out
Rolling her eyes Rai dragged the warm duvet from her body
She shivered as the cool morning air hit her body
She stumbled out of bed Rubbing her eyes she made her way to the bathroom to quickly freshen up
After brushing her teeth and washing her face Rai walked over to her dressing table and pulled out her makeup bag
She stared at her reflection in the mirror her hair a wild mess of curls and her eyes were still heavy with sleep
She sighed and rubbed her face before starting to apply her makeup
She started carefully blending out the foundation onto her skin and adding a touch of color to her cheeks
15 minutes went by and Rai heard her mum coming upstairs
What are you actually doing in there she said entering the teens room
Makeup nothing exciting she said applying her mascara
Her mum walked over and hugged her from behind You don't need all that makeup sweetheart my babies beautiful as she is now get dressed please or you'll be late for your first day she said kissing her head
Rai let out a small smile then went to get her uniform out of her wardrobe
