Rai said goodbye to her mom then took a seat outside the principles office and waited for Miko to show up She was feeling a mixture of excitement and Anxiety about what was to come
As she sat on the hard plastic chair Rai tried to distract herself she looked around the hallway The walls were a dull beige color covered in motivational posters and student artwork
The sound of students voices and footsteps echoed down the corridor making Rai feel even more self-conscious
Finally after what seemed like an eternity, a girl with brown hair and red highlights approached Rai by reception
Rai's heart skipped a beat as she took in the girl's flawless figure and confident demeanor
This must be Miko the student who was going to show her around the school
Suddenly Rai looked up and the girl was stood right Infront of her
Hi i'm Miko the girl said with a warm smile Are you Rai
Rai nodded feeling a bit intimidated by Miko's presence
She had never met anyone quite like her before someone who seemed so effortlessly cool and put-together
Miko started walking away then turned around and looked at Rai
Miko - Hey you coming or what
Rai suddenly shot up
Rai - uh yeah sorry she said rushing to be by Miko's side
As they began to walk through the school hallways Miko chatted to Rai but Rai was hardly paying attention she was overwhelmed and nothing was going in
They passed by the cafeteria and Miko pointed out the different tables where the jocks, nerds, posh, roughed up lot usually sat giving Rai a quick rundown of the social at the school
Miko looked at her phone then randomly blurted out
Miko - shit the time jesus look I have to go meet my friends so you can either wonder by yourself or your welcome to come with me
Rai smiled at Miko and they approached the football court as they walked closer Rai noticed someone that looked very familiar
As they got closer Miko started introducing everyone
Miko - hey guys this is Rai I'm having to show her around school
Miko - Rai this is Alex , Alondra and K
Rai - Kayden she interfered rolling her eyes
Kayden turned at the sound of her voice
Miko - oh do you two know each other
Kayden sighed - yeah Rai is my sister he said taking a puff of his cigarette
Alondra raised an eyebrow in surprise, Seriously She's your sister? But she seems so chilled and innocent and you're well you're so fucked and idiotic she teased bursting into laughter.
Kayden laughed shaking his head
Kayden - Yeah that's because she is innocent She's never really experienced life like I have she's a mummy's girl so don't even go there lesbian he said giving her a playful shove and they both laughed
Rai - Kayden stop don't say that its embarrassing she said covering her face
Kayden smiled then looked at everyone talking and got up
Kayden - hey Rai come here quickly he said moving away from the group
Rai looked confused - what's up
Kayden - no offence but can you like wonder off I don't really want my little sister hanging around with me and my mates
Rai - how's that my fault Miko was assigned to me
Kayden - Rai nobody actually sticks with that rule you just wonder and talk to people
Rai looked down
Kayden - hey don't be moody cheer up look just go to your next class okay
Rai sadly looked then started walking in the other direction
Alex - where's she going he questioned
Kayden - she's going to class she can't be late he said laughing and sitting back down
Once the bell rang the group split up
Miko, Alex and Kayden walked to their class and Alondra walked to hers she got kept back a few years so she was in with all the youngsters
embarrassing
She walked towards the class and saw the redhead sat outside
Alondra - hey its Rai right
Rai - uh yeah she said shyly looking up
Alondra - are you in this class
Rai - I think so I honestly don't really know where I'm going
Alondra put her hand out and took Rai's class schedule
Alondra - yeah you're in the right place in fact it looks like you're in quite a few of my class she said looking down at the girl
Rai was zoned out and started blushing She had never seen such a beautiful girl in her life
