Around half an hour later Rai had packed her bags
She couldn't take the constant arguing and tension that was going to outbreak in their household so She knew she had to leave before things got any worse

As she grabbed her bags she couldn't shake the feeling of guilt that was eating away at her She knew that leaving without a word would hurt her mum and stepdad but she also knew that she needed to put herself first

She put her main phone on her bed with a note and grabbed the spare burner phone taking one last look around her room feeling a pang of sadness at leaving behind the only home she had ever known

She quickly snuck into her mum's room and grabbed a wallet off cash which had savings in it There was roughly $2500 in there money her mum had been saving for a family getaway

Rai hesitated for a moment she feet guilty about taking the money But she knew that she needed it to live She quickly took the whole lot and left a small note on the bedside table that simply read "Sorry R x
She put the letter next to it then slipped one in her brother's room

She went back to her room and packed the money away safely in her bag then left out her bedroom window She knew that her mum and stepdad would be worried and devastated but she also knew that she needed to get away She couldn't bear to face them and see the disappointment in their eyes

As Rai made her way through the darkened streets she felt a sense of relief like she had never experienced before She had always been the responsible one in her family the one who always put others first But now, she was finally doing something for herself The weight that had been bearing down on her shoulders was beginning to lift

She had no plan no idea where she was going or what she would do when she got there But she didn't care She walked and walked until she eventually got to the train station she brought her ticket and got on the train without looking back

At the house

Rai's parents arrived home after a long day at work As they opened the front door they could immediately sense the tension in the air
The house was unusually quiet with only the sound of hushed voices coming from the living room

Kayden, Rai's older brother was sitting on the couch with a scowl on his face
Alex was pacing back and forth nervously and Miko was sitting awkwardly on the edge of the armchair, looking like she wanted to disappear

They both exchanged worried glances before approaching the trio in the living room

Mum - What's going on here why you all so quiet her voice filled with concern

Miko and Alex both looked at Kayden

Stepdad - okay so is nobody gonna answer us

Kayden stood up - no everything is not okay Me and Alondra are no longer friends because she slept with Rai and betrayed my trust and now their sex tape is all over social media because they accidentally live-streamed it on twitch for the whole world to see Kayden's face turned red with anger as he tried to control his emotion

His mum's face dropped

Mum - wait what where's your sister

Kayden - upstairs

Both of his parents rushed upstairs and ran into Rais room There were clothes on the floor most of her clothing was missing they walked over to her bed and saw the phone and note

They looked at eachother worried then opened the note
