CHAPTER 4: A harsh separation
The days passed and, as Oshawott self-proposed, he was going to give a beautiful and rare flower every day to his girlfriend, princess Snivy. They met in a faraway place for him to give her the gift without being seen. They wanted to keep the romance in secret, despite having told to Deerling and Samurott, but the snake and the otter weren't worried because they knew they were to trust. Everything was all right.
The water type Pokémon was giving very exotic flowers to Snivy, it was so very difficult to find some of them, some were in very hidden places or very difficult to access, he risked his life to find the right flower that the grass snake liked. According to him, the arduous searching was worth it to see his girlfriend happy.
Oshawott gave her all flower of all colors and forms that there was in Seasong Beach, sometimes he didn't know why some rare flowers in a coastal landscape. He was able to get books about flowers to investigate a bit, and know the flowers that he gave to Snivy. There were a lot of those plants that he would like to give to his girlfriend. The otter looked for the one he thought the grass snake would like the most. He once had to go up for the tallest areas of Seasong Beach hoping to find a pretty flower there. Sometimes he had one to give, but other times he had to leave empty handed; however, his love for the grass type Pokémon was endless, and he would make her happy doing his best.
One day, Snivy was thoughtful about something in specific, she remembered that time when Oshawott tried to kiss her and she felt uncomfortable by that, but that didn't completely ruin the relationship. The princess was very indecisive if she wanted to give finally the first kiss to seal officially that lovely relationship. There was something that made her feel uncomfortable, as if something wasn't right; nevertheless, the two were a week being boyfriend and girlfriend, and she wanted to start a new phase of love with a kiss, but the problem was she didn't know when doing it. She wasn't very sure if giving a kiss that day, she should have a good reason to do it, she thought that one week being mates wasn't enough. When it was morning, after exiting from her house, she greeted her mother.
"Hello, mom. Good morning."
"Good morning, my dear. Did you wake up well?"
"Yeah, with a lot of energy."
"I'm happy to hear that."
There was a moment of silence that was interrupted by Queen Serperior.
"Honey, I would like to talk about a subject before all."
"About what, mom?"
"I have noticed that Oshawott has giving you many flowers, one every day, during this week."
"Yeah. What's the problem?"
"Well, I have wondered if it is true that he asks for help to know the flower's name that he brought."
"Of course, he didn't know so much about plants from what I noticed, and, since I'm a grass type, I answer his doubts like a good Pal I am."
"Yes, but I have also realized a that he gives them to you, instead of he keeping them. Do you know why he does it?"
"Umm... I haven't figured out yet, I haven't asked him about that yet."
"I see."
The Queen Serperior didn't know what to think about it. She wondered why Oshawott asked her daughter about the name of the flower that he brought and gave it to her in the end. It was strange, she knew that Snivy and Oshawott were Pals, but why giving her flowers if they were originally from Oshawott? It was getting late, maybe when she has more time, she would discover it.
