CHAPTER 6: Apologies from mother to daughter

A week had passed since the incident of the kiss between Queen Serperior's daughter and Oshawott, that made break them away and without possibility to see each other by orders of the queen. The two were very sad by the abrupt separation. They couldn't longer approach each other anymore.

Serperior didn't want that her daughter was with Oshawott, she had her reasons. She had to punish Snivy for having a romance with him, she hoped to have made the correct thing to her; but, in second thought, she thought that she was very harsh with Snivy about the kiss. The Regal Pokémon thought that maybe the rage took hold of her for a moment, she even gave a slap with a vine to her own daughter, why would she do that if she was her mother who loved her so much since she was born a long time ago? Serperior should apologize to her; besides, after having spent a week, she thought that the punishment of a month without play was a little bit exaggerated, she believed that her daughter had learnt the lesson after all, thinking she wouldn't get together with Oshawott again.

Queen Serperior went to her daughter's house and knocked the door, saying:

"My dear, could you open the door for a moment?"

"I don't want to." Snivy was still angry with her mother.

"Please, Snivy, I want to talk with you for a moment. I want to apologize for being very harsh with you."

Nothing was heard after what she said, but she later heard Snivy open the door to talk.

"What do you want?"

"My dear, forgive me for being so harsh with you for seeing you kissing Oshawott in that moment. I didn't know how to react when I saw that, the rage took completely hold of me. Could you forgive me?"

Snivy was undecided. She asked straight to her mother:

"Will you lemme return with Oshawott?"

"Dear, well... I can't allow it."

"Why?"

"It's a very difficult subject to explain now, but..."

The Grass Snake Pokémon closed the door. Her mother tried to reason her.

"Honey, please," she said almost begging," try to understand. I can't allow it, but at least I'll let you play again, I am going to remove the punishment from now on. Now you can play with your friend Deerling without restrictions."

Snivy continued silent in her little house.

"My dear," saying in a sad tone, "I do it mainly because I love you so much. I'm really sorry for having slapped with my vines," wanting to cry, "Please, forgive your mother, I will not be angry at you anymore."

The little grass type continued undecided, but after hearing her mother about to cry, it made her feel guilty. She didn't want to see her mom sad like that. Snivy loved her so much like she does to her beloved daughter. She continued upset for not being able to get together with her boyfriend Oshawott, but she thought that she had to settle with what Serperior said. Snivy exited from her house and said:

"I accept your apologies, mom. Don't be sad again, okay?"

With tears in her eyes. Queen Serperior took her daughter with her vines and approached to her to give her a fond hug.

"Oh, thank you, my dear daughter! I thank you so much!"

"Don't cry, mom, don't cry."

After the hug, Serperior released Snivy and said:

"Now you can play freely."

"Thanks, mom. See you later."

"See you soon, my dear."
