Y/n awoke to the sound of rhythmic beeping, insistent tone that dragged him out of a fitful sleep. He blinked groggily, momentarily disoriented by the unfamiliar surroundings of the escape pod. The events aboard The Oblivion came rushing back, and he bolted upright, his heart racing as he glanced around the small, cramped space.

The pod's small window revealed nothing but the vast emptiness of space, the stars distant and cold. For a moment, he almost thought he was still dreaming, but the lingering ache in his throat and the unsettling changes to his body were stark reminders that this was all too real.

He hesitated before glancing at his reflection in the reinforced glass once more, the sight of his altered appearance. Black hair now h/c, and green eyes now a glowing e/c was a shock all over again. He touched his hair, still half-expecting it to feel different, but it was just as he remembered it, only...changed.

"What the hell did that thing do to me?" Y/n muttered, his voice echoing of the walls of the escape pod. He didn't feel different inside, but the reflection staring back at him said otherwise. His mind raced with questions, but there were no answers in the cold silence of space.

The beeping from the console drew his attention. He shifted toward the control panel, his fingers still shaking slightly as he pressed a button to bring up the pod's status.

Destination: Unknown Planet
Estimated Time of Arrival: 30 Minutes Life Support: Operational Communications: Disabled
Distress Beacon: Active

"Great. Just perfect," Y/n muttered, frustration gnawing at him. The pod was hurtling through space to an unknown planet, no way to call for help, and only a distress beacon to broadcast his position to anyone or anything out there. "At least the life support's working."

Y/n rubbed his temples, trying to think. He had to focus, had to figure out what his next move would be. The Oblivion was behind him, but what lay ahead was just as uncertain, if not more so.

The creature...he couldn't stop thinking about it. How it had seemed to drain something from him, how it had almost overpowered him completely. How he pushed it back without touching it. Whatever it was, it had left a mark a mark that was now staring back at him from the glass.

Y/n stared at his reflection, trying to make sense of it all. The h/c hair, the e/c eyes it was more than just a physical change. The creature had done something to him, something that went beyond the surface. His mind kept replaying the moment in the pod, when he had somehow pushed the creature back without laying a finger on it. It was as if something had awakened within him, something that shouldn't have been there.

But what was it?

The rhythmic beeping of the console continued to echo in the cramped space, a constant reminder that he was still hurtling toward the unknown. Y/n forced himself to focus, shaking off the lingering fear and confusion. He needed to prepare. Whatever awaited him on this unknown planet, he couldn't afford to be caught off guard.

He checked the pod's inventory, finding a basic survival kit: a medium-sized water canteen, a utility knife, a few days' worth of rations, and a portable scanner. It wasn't much, but it would have to do. Y/n couldn't help but feel the weight of the situation pressing down on him. He was alone, stranded in space, with no way to call for help and no idea what he was falling into.

But he was alive, and that was something.

The minutes ticked by slowly, each one bringing him closer to the planet. Y/n watched the display on the console as the pod's trajectory adjusted, bringing a small, distant planet into view. It wasn't much to look at, a dull, gray orb with a few large spots of green and blue clinging to its surface. But it was solid ground, and right now, that was all that mattered.
