Yeonjun forced himself to keep walking, trying to regain some semblance of control over his emotions. He knew he couldn't let Beomgyu get to him like that, but damn it, he hated the way he always seemed to know exactly what buttons to press.
"Hey, Yeonjun hyung!"
Yeonjun was was suddenly stopped by a familiar voice. He looked up to see Hueningkai waving at him from a nearby bench, his usual cheerful demeanor unchanged.
Yeonjun stopped in his tracks, his expression still stormy. He ran a hand through his hair, trying to calm himself down a bit before facing Kai.
"Hey, Huening!" he managed to say, his voice still a bit strained.
Kai seemed to sense the tension in Yeonjun's demeanor and gave him a concerned look.
"Yeonjun hyung, you seem pretty upset. Everything okay?" he asked, a hint of worry in his voice.
Yeonjun let out a sigh, his shoulders slumping slightly. "It's been a rough day, that's all" he muttered, avoiding Kai's gaze.
He wasn't really in the mood to delve into the details of his shitty day and his recent break up.
"Did something happen with Minjoo noona?" he asked, his voice gentle. Kai knew that Yeonjun had been dating Minjoo for a while, and he sensed that something must have happened between them.
Yeonjun's expression darkened further at the mention of Minjoo's name. He jammed his hands into his pockets and looked away, his jaw tense.
"We broke up..." he said curtly, trying to keep his voice steady.
Kai's eyes widened in surprise, his concern growing rapidly. "You guys broke up?" he repeated, his voice laced with shock. "What happened?"
"It's a long story" he said dismissively, not really wanting to relive the painful conversation with Minjoo all over again. "Let's just say it wasn't a mutual decision, and it's not something I want to talk about right now"
Kai looked at him with sympathy, clearly understanding the pain Yeonjun was going through.
"I'm so sorry, hyung" he said quietly. "Break-ups are always tough, and I can only imagine how you must be feeling right now"
Yeonjun nodded silently, his jaw still clenched. He appreciated Kai's concern, but he wasn't ready to talk about it just yet. He needed some time to process everything that had happened, to come to terms with his own emotions.
"You know, I heard there's a new music store that opened up near the café. Want to check it out with me?" Kai, sensing Yeonjun's need for space, decided to change the subject.
"Great!" Yeonjun said, "Let's go, then. Maybe we can find something cool to cheer you up a bit"
Kai's face lit up at Yeonjun's response, happy to see a hint of positivity in his hyung.

Another day in school...."Choi Yeonjun get the fuck out of my way!" Beomgyu said angrily.
"Why don't you watch where you're going, dumbass?"Yeonjun said, shot Beomgyu a glare.
"Just move. I have someplace to be, and I don't have time for your bullshit" Beomgyu gritted his teeth, his eyes narrowing in anger.
Yeonjun arched an eyebrow, a smirk forming on his lips. "Oh yeah? And where exactly do you need to be in such a hurry? Hot date with your secret boyfriend?"
"You know very well that I don't have a boyfriend, you idiot. And even if I did, it's none of your damn business" Beomgyu said, his hands forming fists at his sides.
"Oh come on, Beomgyu, you expect me to believe that? With a face like yours, I'm sure you've got a whole lineup of guys waiting to date you"Yeonjun chuckled, the sound cold and mocking.
"You're full of bullshit! As if you have room to talk with your obnoxiously handsome face. Bet you have girls lining up around the block to ask you out" Beomgyu took a step forward, his voice low and dangerous.
The bell rang signaling the beginning of class but neither Yeonjun nor Beomgyu paid any attention to it.
They continued to glare at each other, the air around them charged with tension and hostility. The hallway was slowly emptying around them as other students hurried to their classes, but Yeonjun and Beomgyu remained frozen in their spots, their argument far from over.
"Move bitch" Beomgyu said.
"Such language coming from you, Beomgyu. You're really showing your true colors now, hm?" Yeonjun Yeonjun raised an eyebrow at Beomgyu's choice of words.
"Yeah, well, you bring out the worst in me, that's for sure"
"Oh, I'm flattered. I didn't know I had such an effect on you, sunshine"Yeonjun chuckled darkly.
"Don't call me that. We're not friends, Yeonjun. We're not anything, so drop the fake pleasantries"
"You sure we're not anything...? but remember we're married soon"Yeonjun said, a smirk on his lips.
Beomgyu's eyes widened at the reminder of their impending marriage. The thought had been lingering in the back of his mind, but hearing Yeonjun say it aloud made it all the more real and nauseating.
"Don't remind me! As if I could ever forget that I'm being forced to marry a prick like you"He clenched his fists, his jaw tight with anger.
Yeonjun's smirk widened, his eyes gleaming with amusement.
"Oh, come on, Beomgyu, you act like I'm some sort of monster. I'm not that bad, am I?" he said, feigning innocence.
"You're a nightmare wrapped in a handsome package, that's what you are. You think just because you have good looks, you can act like a total jerk and get away with it"
Yeonjun laughed, the sound hollow and mirthless. "Ah-hah so you think I'm handsome, huh? I knew I'd win you over eventually"
Beomgyu's cheeks flushed, his anger momentarily replaced by embarrassment. He hadn't meant to slip up and admit that he thought Yeonjun was attractive, but the words had slipped out before he could stop them.
"Hey, you two! Why doesn't you guys in class yet?"A voice said behind them.
Beomgyu and Yeonjun snapped out of their heated argument and turned to see the principal looking at them with a stern expression.
The realization that they were both late for class sunk in, and they sheepishly looked at each other, realizing they had been too caught up in their own conflict to notice.
Beomgyu and Yeonjun both muttered apologies to the principal, their faces flushing with embarrassment at being caught arguing in the hallway instead of being in class. The principal gave them a disapproving look before gesturing for them to go to class immediately.
Embarrassed, they both turned and hurried down the hallway, trying to make it to their respective classes as quickly as possible.
"It all your fault!" Beomgyu said.
"My fault? Are you kidding me? If you hadn't started antagonizing me in the first place, we wouldn't have been late for class"Yeonjun replied.
They continue to keep arguing while walking to their class.
To be continued....
