After a long day at the magic box, Buffy returned home. Spike was hanging around in the yard but she got past him. Buffy entered the house.'"Dawny?" She called up the stairs. Spike tried to follow her in but hit an invisible wall. "Huh, sorry Spike," Buffy smiled. " I guess you're not invited." As she proceeded up the stairs, Spike called after her: "Taken me of the guest list at last, eh? Well, come on, you better let me in! Or- Or i'll stay out here all night! I will! Oi! LET ME IN!" She took one look at him and carried on up the stiars. "Oh, sorry Spike! It's just that I thought you wanted to 'rest in peace'." The long-coated demon gave up at that and put his back up against the tree. He sunk down to the bottom of it. Buffy would never love him. It was all for a lost cause.
That morning, Dawn half-ran, half-skipped down the stairs and into the kitchen. Buffy, Willow, Tara, and Xander were in there already. "Ooh. Pancakes?" Dawn asked. Buffy flipped a pancake. "Yep. Lovely, flipable goodness." Dawn reached out for a plate, her too-small pyjamas showing her skinny arms. "You're in a good mood," little sis noted. "Agian, I agree with an enthusiastic 'Yep'." Buffy replied. "Their is something strangely refreshing about kicking Spike out of our household." Xander, munching on a pancake, said "Oh yeah... we saw him sulking in the shade of the big tree in your yard. Thought you might wanna know..." he continued munching, fully concentrating on his pancake.Buffy replied with an "Oh great...I'll get a blanket. You better tell Spike to get ready to run... he's going back to his crypt, I don't care if he burns up on the way."
