      "Maybe you should come home with some friends. That will be helpful." Jonathan said as he sipped his tea. Alex looked at his shirtless body and simply walked past him.

    "I am not interested." He answered.

    "Do you know that if she finally gets to know that you also mean the opposite of what you said, you're a goner?" Jonathan teased him. Alex huffed and threw his backpack across his shoulder before walking out of the house.

His brother wouldn't waste any time teasing him around the house. While he didn't like it, Alex wasn't complaining about it. This was the only thing that kept him sane these days.

    As he was walking to the bus stop, three black cars rode past him in a hurry. He paused in his steps and turned to look at them. Until the cars left his sight, he didn't take a step.

     "You are not planning to stand there all the days of your life, right?" An aged woman asked, interrupting Alex's thoughts. He then continued walking.

    ~~~~~~~
    Brown crossed over one of the corpses that had been shot last night. There were other cops around and some reporters to catch on the latest work of the security in their city. A few people were being interviewed regarding the issue.
    A pot-bellied man approached Brown. He was holding a stick of tobacco with a serious face. When Brown's eyes met with his, he excused himself to answer the man.
    "Good morning, Mr. Brown."
    "Same here, Mr. Bentley," Brown answered firmly. The man puffed out his tobacco and cleared his throat as he looked around the crowded area.
    "What have you been able to find?" He asked him.
    Of course, Bentley was Brown's boss. Although he was known to be very authoritative whenever it came to Brown, he was always on standby because of the man's intelligence and capacity. Many people were also fighting to have him work in their company so why would he want to let go of such fresh meat?
    "The incident happened last night and according to the wrap of cocaine and other stuff, they seemed to have busied themselves with it when the shot happened. The killer left no traces behind, not even anything for DNA after shooting the guys on their heads. Also, among the drugs that they had was this particular one." Brown showed Bentley a greenish substance kept inside a small container.
   Bentley collected it and squinted his eyes as if he was going to figure out the next course of action from doing that.
    "And what is this?" He asked him.
    "Well, this isn't something that I know of. It will be taken to the lab for testing. However, I know that it's a drug and can harm people, especially the youngsters." Brown replied. Bentley gave it back to him and sighed.
    "You are doing a great job, Mr Brown. Thank you very much. Please, continue to feed me with whatever happens next. Let me sort out some other paramount issues too." He said to him and took his leave quickly.
    "Mr. Brown." A young girl with red hair walked towards him, swaying her hips side to side as she did so. She was also chewing loudly and was wearing a pair of black sunglasses too. Her makeup was far from being minimal and one could think at that moment the same recognition she could have with any of Disney's sea witches - Ursula in particular.
    Brown wiggled his brows in secret and sighed, too, before putting on a smile to face her.
