𝟘.𝟘𝟞 We Got to Go

"They have to go, Grandma. You know the guards will search every house tomorrow..." said Ruby hesitantly.

"Ruby, the girl is ill, we can't just make them go away-" Her grandmother defended.

"I don't want this either, but you know what they say, if they found both of them here, we are as good as dead. We have to make them leave somehow! The guards from the Paxleys will kill us! Besides, they have already come last time. They'll do it again," 

"Let's not say anything to them. That poor boy looked tired enough. What will they do?" The old lady shook her had in sadness. There is no safe place for them to hide 

Gusion's heart hammered as he heard those words. He wanted to thank Ruby and the old lady for their hospitality and was about to knock on the door and listened to this dreadful conversation.

He was really grateful for all the help the old lady and Ruby provided but could not afford to hurt them as well. 

As selfish as Gusion is, he didn't want to drag the nice people they had met into their mess.

That means that him and Guinevere needs to leave so as to protect them. They also need to be on the move soon or else people will get suspicious.

"Hi, Gusion," The faint voice of Guinevere pulled him back into the present. The smile of Guinevere was special, the way her eyes brighten when she laugh , her emerald eyes staring into yours, as if she's daring you to answer back. Her mouth twitching when she is angry, these were the little details easily noticed by Gusion.

"Guinevere... We have to go," Quickly, Gusion explained the situation to her. Guinevere's small smile disappeared as she listened to Gusion's plan.

"So, we have to go, don't we," She said quietly.

It is merely a statement not a question, but Gusion answered it anyways.

"Let's stay until tomorrow. Then we'll make our move," said Gusion tiredly.

"Gusion, do you want to go to the Market nearby?" Ruby asked him.

"No thanks." Gusion politely refused. He did not want to be recognised anyhow. Anyways, Guinevere seemed to be healthier and in a better mood today. He wanted to spend the whole day with her like they used to when they were kids.

"Guinevere need some new dresses and you guys probably need some things for future references. Don't worry, I know something that can make you guys unrecognisable," Ruby said confidently.

Gusion snorted. 

"Yeah, if someone can make Guinevere and me look different, its definitely you," Gusion said sarcastically.

"You'll see," And with that, Ruby headed towards Guinevere's room and started her 'magic'.

"Who are you?" Guinevere's curious voice was heard.

"I'm your fairy godmother of course, but other than that I'm going to make you another person who looks different. Are you ready?" Ruby's voice rang.

Who knows what that girl was up to, Gusion thought. It better not hurt Guin in any way or I'm having her tongue to add to my collection.

After half an hour, Ruby knocked on Gusion's door. 

"Your girlfriend's ready!" She grinned.

"She's not my girlfriend!" Gusion yelled after her but Ruby run away before Gusion can complete his sentence.
