Ruby's POV
The crisp morning air flowed through the open window, painting the room in a soft, golden light. Even with the sun streaming in, Weiss Schnee, draped in a silken duvet, remained asleep, her face serene.
I, Ruby Rose, my heart practically bouncing with excitement, decided it was time for the day to begin. I crept over to her bed, a mischievous grin spreading across my face.
“Good morning, Team RWBY!” I announced, blowing a sharp whistle right next to Weiss’s ear.
She jolted awake, tumbling out of bed with a startled yelp. “What in the world is wrong with you?” she demanded, her voice husky from sleep.
“Now that you’re awake, we can officially begin our first order of business!” I chirped, ignoring her question.
Weiss, already struggling to regain her composure, frowned. “Excuse me?”
Aebelle, our newest member, emerged from the bathroom, a toothbrush dangling from her mouth. “Hmm?” she mumbled, looking confused.
Yang, arms full of assorted objects – pillows, pamphlets, a candle holder – and dressed in her vibrant, slightly intimidating uniform, beamed. “Decorating!”
“What?!” Weiss exclaimed, her annoyance growing by the second.
Blake, ever the organized one, began unpacking her suitcase. “We still need to unpack,” she said, her voice calm, “and, of course, clean.”
Weiss’s enthusiasm continued to plummet as I, unable to resist the urge, blew my whistle again, sending her tumbling back to the floor with another startled gasp.
“Aaaalright!” I exclaimed, my voice brimming with energy. “Aebelle, Weiss, Blake, Yang, and their fearless leader Ruby, have begun their first mission! Banzai!” I raised my fist in the air.
Blake and Yang followed suit, their faces mirroring my own enthusiasm. “Banzai!” they echoed, their voices filled with a playful energy.
Weiss, however, remained sprawled on the floor, her face a picture of exasperated disbelief.
