The air buzzed with anticipation as the sleek silver ship glided to a smooth stop at the entrance of Beacon Academy. Jaune Arc, his face pale and features drawn, stumbled out, immediately making a beeline for the nearest trash can. He hunched over it, silently letting out a groan as the remnants of his breakfast made a hasty escape.

Ruby and Yang, their faces alight with wonder, emerged from the ship, taking in the awe-inspiring vista of Beacon Academy

Ruby and Yang, their faces alight with wonder, emerged from the ship, taking in the awe-inspiring vista of Beacon Academy.

"Wow," breathed Yang, her eyes sweeping across the imposing structure. "Vale's got nothing on this!"

Ruby, her eyes sparkling with childish excitement, was practically vibrating with energy. "Oh my gosh, sis! That kid's got a collapsible staff! And she's got a fire sword!" She attempted to inch closer for a better look, but Yang swiftly pulled her back, her hood falling down over her sister's face. "Ow! Ooww!" Ruby whined, her expression morphing into a cartoonish, starry-eyed chibi.

Yang chuckled. "Easy there, little sister. They're just weapons!"

"Just weapons?" Ruby countered, her voice laced with incredulity. "They're an extension of ourselves! They're a part of us! Oh, they're so cool!"

"Well, why can't you swoon over your own weapon?" Yang teased, raising an eyebrow. "Aren't you happy with it?"

Ruby, her eyes shining with pride, transformed her weapon into its scythe form. "Of course I'm happy with Crescent Rose! I just really like seeing new ones. It's like meeting new people, but better..."

Yang playfully pushed her sister's hood down over her face again. "Ruby, come on, why don't you go try and make some friends of your own?"

"But... why would I need friends if I have you?" Ruby asked, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness as she pulled her hood off.

Yang grinned, her eyes twinkling. "Well..." She winked, a mischievous glint in her eyes. In a flash, a group of other students surrounded her, and Yang dashed off down the road, her laughter trailing behind her. "Actually, my friends are here. Gotta go catch up. 'Kay, see ya, bye!"

Ruby, bewildered by her sister's sudden departure, spun around, her eyes wide with confusion. "Wait, where are you going?! Are we supposed to go to our dorms? Where are our dorms? Do we have dorms? I don't know what I'm doing..." She trailed off, her head spinning. As she took a step back, she tripped, falling backward into a luggage cart and sending a cascade of cases flying.

Aebelle, who had been trying to navigate the throng of new students, saw what happened and rushed to help Ruby. "Are you okay?" she asked, concern etched on her face.

Ruby, still dazed from the fall, chuckled weakly. "Yup, yup. Just got abandoned by my sister."

Aebelle frowned. "Oh... I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing?" Ruby asked, confused. "You didn't do anything—"

Before she could finish her sentence, a frosty voice cut through the air. "What are you doing?!"
