The classroom buzzed with a frenetic energy, fueled by Professor Oobleck's relentless pace. My eyes, however, were fixed on the sleepy figure of Jaune Arc, his head cradled in his hands. He looked like a wilting flower, completely lost in the whirlwind of historical facts Oobleck was spewing.

"Yes! Yes, prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution – more popularly known as the Faunus War –" Oobleck zoomed up to the map behind his desk, a whirlwind of papers trailing in his wake

"Yes! Yes, prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution – more popularly known as the Faunus War –" Oobleck zoomed up to the map behind his desk, a whirlwind of papers trailing in his wake. "– mankind was quite, quite adamant about centralizing Faunus populations in Menagerie."

He pointed his stick at the map, then zipped off to the side for a quick coffee swig. In a flash, he reappeared in front of the blackboard. "Now! While this must feel like ancient history to many of you, it is imperative to remember that these are relatively recent events! Why, the repercussions of the uprising can still be seen to this day! Now! Have any among you been subjugated or discriminated because of your Faunus heritage?"

A few hands hesitantly rose in the air. Velvet, after a moment of hesitation, joined them.

"Dreadful, simply dreadful!" Oobleck exclaimed, zooming around the classroom. "Remember, students, it is precisely this kind of ignorance that breeds violence! I mean, I mean, I mean just look at what happened to White Fang! Now, which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorize to be the turning point in the third year of the War?"

A hand shot up. I knew that one. Weiss, always eager to show off her knowledge.

"The battle at Fort Castle!" she declared confidently.

"Precisely!" Oobleck beamed. "And who can tell me the advantage the Faunus had over General Lagune's forces?"

This was my chance to shut Jaune up. I flicked a crumpled piece of paper at his head, catching him off guard. He jolted awake, rubbing his eyes.
