16. Roses and Hydrangeas

After the day at university, Junho had asked Maena to visit his company building so they could talk about a thing Junho wanted to talk about. It was quite new and strange, but Maena was okay with it because he was going to be her father-in-law anyway. She has never been inside the main ParkCo building. It's enormous and luxurious. She has only admired it from afar until this day.

It had at least ten floors, probably more. She stepped inside the building into a big lobby. There were employees around the place, some of them might have recognized her and some even greeted her. 

Maena felt like she was in heaven, looking at the big inside of the building. There were no floors above the centre of the lobby, just a glass ceiling tens of meters above. The upper floors surrounded the lobby and the railings could be seen from each floor to the center.

She stopped for a while in the lobby and looked around if she saw Junho anywhere. She didn't see him and she has no idea where to look him from here. She just has to ask someone then. 

"Mr. Park, are we having the meeting today or tomorrow? Sure, Mrs. Shim is absent today so maybe we should have it tomorrow, what do you say?" Maena heard a woman's voice and she felt relieved to hear the word Mr. Park. 

"Yes, let's have it tomorrow." She heard a masculine voice answer, but it wasn't Junho's. It was even more familiar. As she turned around she saw Sunghoon with couple of employees with him walking across the lobby. 

Sunghoon didn't see Maena at first but soon enough he shared a glance to her and that's when he realized who there was. "Maena? What are you doing here?", he asked and stopped in his tracks.

Maena smiled and walked to him. "Am I not allowed to visit my fiance's workplace?", she enquired playfully. 

"I didn't mean that.", he replied with the low voice of his.

"Nice to see you here Maena, I'm Lee Bina, one of Mr. Park's work partners.", the woman reached her hand for a handshake so Maena happily shook her hand. The two other employees greeted her as well with a handshake.

"Shall we go ahead?", Ms. Lee seek for agreement from Sunghoon, because she thought he wanted to be alone with his fiancee for a while. 

"Okay.", Sunghoon replied so the three employees left. Maena looked up to him with a smile and took his hand lightly. 

Sunghoon looked into her eyes, maybe waiting for her to say something. But maybe she wouldn't even have had to, Sunghoon could just look down to her for hours. He has never felt so strong desire to just wrap someone in his arms or even kiss, but he wouldn't have the guts to do that.

"I really came here for your dad. He wanted to talk with me.", Maena broke the brief silence and went to the reason she really came here. 

He snapped away from his trance and went over her sentence again. "Okay."

"Do you know where he is? This is so big I'd have no chance to just bump into him by accident in here.", she said.

"I don't know. Maybe he is in his office.", he guessed. 

"And where's that?"

"I'll take you there.", he said and started walking towards the elevator with Maena behind him. They went up to the fourth floor. Unlike her own father's office is in the top floor, Junho's is apparently on fourth.

They walked through a couple of corridors surrounded by glass walls and Maena eagerly looked through the walls into the rooms. Everything looked so neat, orderly and modern. Even the employees. She was so devoted on watching her surroundings that she bumped into Sunghoon when he stopped in front of his father's office door.
