Chapter 14*Betrayal

"Kokoro, do you want to know how to decide your future?" A woman who look just as the girl at her lap asks, the girl tilts her head in confusion.
"

There is a technique, dear, where you can decide your future. If you can control exactly everything, you can prepare for everything that will come to you," even if the girl didn't understand, she just nodded at her mother's words.

"But in every action there's a price to be paid for... My dear, I hope you won't suffer the same thing as me"

"Mind to explain, Kisaki-kun?" Kokoro never felt any bigger anger towards anyone who isn't her relatives before.
Kisaki Tetta isn't having it, he is terrified, of course, but his pride didn't let it interfere him.

"What about you, Asahi? Mind to explain yourself?"
He never thought someone who he considered as partner keeps such a secret from him, lucky for him, Kokonoi is someone who tells anything if you pay him. He's certain that Kokonoi's client is Kokoro, judging by what he gets to know by the betrayer of Black Dragon, and the treasurer, Kokonoi.

"What's there to explain, Kisaki-kun? I have known what you did behind my back," frustration fills Kokoro, her mother is right after all, you can only predict everything if you control everything. She can feel that Kisaki's slipping out from her control, and to bring her big brother with him-!

"Well, you also betray me-!" the boy retaliate, feeling frustated too.
"I betray you? You make a plan without asking me!"
"Shut it, not everything revolves round you," that certainly sends Kokoro upon the edges, how dare he, dragging Shuji to the Black Dragons matter, with the target, no less. Why didn't they believe her?! The shineful Hanagaki has come back!

"If it's about Shuji's safety, then yes, yes it is!"
"You're too nosy, Asahi"
"Huh? If you think so, then let's part our way here"
"Fine, whatever!"

Kisaki is a stuborn person, too bad for him, Kokoro is also as stubborn as him. Maybe the late saying is right, there can't be two king in a kingdom, no two masterminds in the same boat.

The next morning, Hanma came to Kokoro apartment, have been hearing about the fight the two had. He badly wanted to sided with Kokoro, as always, but he knows that if he did, then every bridges between the two will burned. And he really wants his little sister to have a friend.

"Maybe you two need to talk calmly together, Ko" he trying to reason
"What's there to talk, Shuji? Kisaki betrays me, betrays us," when the brunette had refers their friend with the last name, Hanma Shuji knows, it's hard for their relationship to recover.

"Well, I'm also certainly at fault-"
"Yes, yes Shuji, you too are at fault, why don't you tell me?" Kokoro also deeply felt betrayed by how the one most important person in her life keeps such an important secrets from her.

She thought that it is stupid, anyway. Why does Kisaki trying to practice the devide et impera politics between the siblings? Doesn't he knows that family, especially siblings, is an unbreakable bond? No matter how she felt discomfort around her father, he is family, Shuji is family, Kisaki too will be family soon if he didn't pull strings behind her!

"Pick now, Shuji, do you choose Kisaki or me?" Oh, how deeply Kokoro wishes for her big brother to pick her,
"Ko, please listen," but the answer left her with more resentment, "The both of you are my friends, you two are friends too, right? What if-"

"NO!" Never in his five years friendship with Kokoro, does he ever seen the girl shout and so mad like that, "No, no, no, NO! No, Shuji! No what if, nothing! He betrays me, betrays my trust! He is just like them" And Hanma Shuji realize he gave the wrong answer, Kokoro had deep trust issues towards people, since her mother is killed by her bestfriend, she died trusting her bestfriend

"Ko-" he needs to fix this, before-
"Out, don't ever, trying to talk to me again! Just go see Kisaki, follow him like a stupid dog then! Let's see if he cares about you!" And with that Kokoro walked out from her apartment, leaving the lanky boy in questions... how should he fix this?

What's wrong with wanting his two friends to get along again? What's wrong with wanting to see his little sister had another friend? What's wrong with wanting to see his friend having someone at his level?
Hanma is confused, what has gone wrong?

Is it something that only geniuses like them understand? Something that one like him will never ever understand? Hanma doesn't understand, the thing that he knew is that they aren't kind, Kisaki and Kokoro both had a pretty egoistic personality, and a little trust towards the humanity.

Perhaps that's what make their way clashes, the thing is, how to fix this? They are good at reading people depest wishes, but what about emotions? They aren't teached to dealed with one themselves. Hanma himself knew that none of the three of them are good enough at letting their emotions out in a healthy way, a thought crosses his mind,

What if this is the best for us? What if what we did is just bringing each other down and we just realize it?

He quickly dissmised the thought, whatever had happenes, happened, and he only can wishes for the best, for their relationship to recover!

Tachibana Naoto had it enough, his elder sister had been flirting so much with her boyfriend, it disgust him. He wanders to the park infront of his apartment, and sees a girl sitted there alone.

He recognize the girl, the one that met with him and his sister that time, also someone that her sister talked frequently too, their neighbour who lived in the upper floor, a daughter from a private school's director, Asahi.

It seems that the girl is crying, and didn't notice him. Originally he wanted to leave her alone, but he also knew that the girl held her pride high, so he sitted there, shielded her from passerby.

When Kokoro shifted her head and glance up, she sees the younger Tachibana infront of her, usually she will did a thing or two to shoo him off from the embrassing scene, but she is too tired. She can't believe Shuji is betraying her too, maybe her mother is right,

there's a price to be paid of in every action

And as the price of searching for something fun, her control spiral out, and thus she lost her one and only friend.
