Awaiting the tempest
In the quietude
Nature readies itself for
The impending storm
The calm before the storm
A fleeting moment of peace
Before chaos reigns
The air grows heavy
With the promise of thunder
And lightning's bright flash
The sky darkens fast
As the storm draws ever near
Nature's fury looms
The calm before the storm
Is a time to reflect on
Life's uncertainties
For the storm will pass
And in its wake, we will find
Death and destruction
