In the silence of uncertainty
where shadows stretch long and deep
I cradle a flicker
a tiny flame of promise
nestled in the palm of my heart
A new job, a new dawn
each morning whispers potential
and though the darkness looms
I feel its weight lessening
as I step forward
resilient, unwavering
This lifeline
woven from dreams and determination
guides me through the tempest
its light cutting through the fog
illuminating paths unseen
I realize now
giving up is a ghost
a specter that fades
when faced with the fire
of my own resolve
I am strong
like roots anchored deep
growing through cracks in concrete
reaching for the sun
even when the clouds gather
The road may wind and twist
a labyrinth of trials
but I stand tall
defiant against the shadows
my spirit unyielding
a beacon against despair
With each step, I reclaim my power
a warrior in the quiet
embracing the flicker
the glimmer of hope
for I will not give up
and in my heart, I know-
this journey is just beginning

Villainized
PoetryVillainized is a collection of poems that delves into my personal hell and the struggles I've faced. I am not the hero of my narrative; a minor side-character? Perhaps. The villain? Maybe. The interpretation is yours to decide.
