Episode two - Big Sandys funeral - P1

Vinnie was fast asleep in his and Lottie's bed dreaming about his dad when he was abruptly woken up by banging.

"Vinnie!" Erin shouted as she banged on the door.

"What?" Vinnie said groggily as he woke up.

"Vin!" Erin said again hoping to wake him up.

"Fucking... What's going on? Lottie?" Vinnie said sleepily wandering where Lottie was with all the banging.

"It's Big Sandy." Erin said with a trembling voice.

"What? What about her?" Vinnie questioned as he clumsily got up from the bed.

"She's gone." Erin said as Vinnie tripped over the duvet.

"One sec. One sec. Where's she gone?" Vinnie said as he finally reached the door.

"She's gone, Vin." Erin said to him sadly.

"Gone where?" Vinnie said confused but also looking around for Lottie.

"She's dead. She's dead, Vin." Erin said as she started to cry.

"Come here." Vinnie said as he hugged her.

"Oh god, what's wrong?" Lottie said as she came back into the room after being in the bathroom, "Is it Tyler? Is he okay?" She started questioning worriedly when she saw a tearful Erin.

"Hey Tyler's fine." Vinnie said as he walked over to her to try and calm her down, "But it's Big Sandy. She's died sweetheart." Vinnie said softly knowing that she loved Big Sandy, "It's all right. It's all right." He said as him hugged her when she started to cry and led her back over to their bed, "Sit. You have a sit down. I'm gonna make a brew." Vinnie said trying to ignore the morning glory he suddenly got when he saw his beautiful girlfriend.

Vinnie and Lottie were sat in the pub with Kath, Sugar and Erin trying to discuss Big Sandy's funeral.

"We'll all help with the funeral, all right? Flowers, speeches." Erin said to them.

"Yeah, but who's gonna pay for it? Sandy didn't have any savings." Sugar said back to the group.

"What about your boss?" Vinnie questioned.

"That fucking wanker? He's tighter than a crab's arse. He's got money, thousands. We know he has. We earn it." Sugar exclaimed angrily whilst Lottie rubbed her back for comfort.

"Can't you get your hands on it?" Kath said to her.

"He keeps it in a massive safe in his office. He has me in there once a month to suck his balls." Sugar said pulling a face.

"Oh! Bloody hell." Vinnie said in disgust along with the others, "But where's his office?" Vinnie questioned trying to come up with a plan.

"Basement. It's like Fort Knox in there Vin, bolted doors, CCTV." Sugar informed him.

"Do any of you have the keys? Does he ever leave it open?" Vinnie said asking the necessary questions.

"No. Never." Sugar said shaking her head.

"Shit." Vinnie said in annoyance.

"We have to do something. She deserves a good send-off." Kath said to them hoping someone can think of something as she got back to work.

"I'll go see Gary." Vinnie said to Lottie as she walked back over to him.

"Okay I've got a shift at the soup kitchen, so I'll see you later." Lottie said as she hooked her arms around his neck and smiled at him.
