Episode one - P4

After Vinnie had arranged a swap with the Beasleys for the lion and money. Lottie went with Tommo and Cardi to the place where they would drop the money, whilst Vinnie and Ash stayed with the lion.

"Any sign?" Cardi asked Lottie and Tommo from his place sat against the wall.

"No." "Not yet." Both Tommo and Lottie replied.

"Do you want a pickled egg?" Cardi asked them as he pulled out a jar of pickled eggs.

"No." "No thanks, sweetheart." Tommo and Lottie said to him.

"Ey-up. Approaching car. Two knuckleheads visible." Tommo told them as he looked through the binoculars.

"Red alert." Cardi said into the phone after he rang Vinnie to tell him, "There's a car approaching." Cardi explained to Vinnie, "B-Be prepared." Cardi stutter to Vinnie, "Have they done t'drop?" cardi asked Tommo and Lottie

"No." Tommo said as Lottie just shook her head no.

"Not yet. We're watching." Cardi told Vinnie as Lottie tapped his head for him to stand up. "Ah, yeah, red alert. Someone's got out. He's got an holdall, looks heavy. He's walking to t'bus shelter." Cardi told Vinnie what they were seeing, "They haven't left. They're just talking to one another in t'car." Cardi said to Vinnie over the phone.

"They're sharing a pasty." Tommo said from what he could see through the binoculars.

"They're sharing a pasty." Cardi repeated to Vinnie.

"Looks like a Cornish, could be chicken and mushroom." Lottie told him after she looked through the binoculars.

"It looks like a Cornish, but it could be chicken and mushroom." Cardi repeated what Lottie said to him.

"They're going." Both Tommo and Lottie said.

"They're going." Cardi told Vinnie, "R-R-Roger. Affirmative." Cardi said to Vinnie as the three of them jumped over the wall and ran down the hill. Lottie tried not to laugh when she saw both Tommo and Cardi roll down the hill towards the bus shelter. Tommo managed to get to the bag first, he quickly opened it up and paused, causing Lottie to look at him confused as she reached him.

"Fuck!" "Shit!" Tommo and Lottie shouted angrily as Tommo threw ripped up posters into the air.

"Yeah, I think they've er... I think they've screwed us." Cardi said to Vinnie when he saw his mates anger.

"Come on now, Vin. We robbed them, they robbed us back. Fair's fair." Ash said to Vinnie, as they all regrouped after the failed swap.

"Fair's fair?" Vinnie questioned from his place next to Lottie as he held her hand.

"We made a profit and we got rid of the lion. So let's just be satisfied." Ash said trying to be positive.

"We're still five grand short. Plus Popov's cut." Tommo told them, annoyed at everything.

"Fucking Beasley. He's not getting away with this." Vinnie said adamantly, as he came up with another plan.

They all sat in Erin's living room watching a video on how the lion circus act is done.

'Then the assistant is covered by a curtain. The curtain is removed and the
assistant has been turned into a lion.' The man on the video says, as the trick is shown.

"How do they do that?" Sugar asked them.

'So, you ask, how did they do that? Obviously, there has to be an explanation.' The video continues on.
