"Blackend. My dear son.." The large Korathos said, her voice as soothing as the wind against a flier. She was large and fully black with white eyes that looked down at the young Korathos before her.

Her son.

"Mom?" Blackend said, raising his head noticing he was in a large field. The field was long and looked like it never ended, flowers blooming and rising from the floor below them, swaying with the wind in a blissful dance. "My dear son. It's been too long.." The Korathos continued, "Your father is here with us." She finally finished. "Father?" Blackend questioned, turning his head to the side. He knew something was wrong about where he was, but he was aware that this was all just a dream.

It was a dream he had been in 4 nights in the past. But something wasn't right about this one.

Blackend never met his father. He had heard stories from his mother before that his father was killed in an attack by an unknown creature. It always interested him, always made him wonder who his father was and if his father was a nice creature.

"Where is father?" Blackend finally questioned again, the large Korathos in front of him smiling as she lowered her head to be closer to her son. "He's here.." She responded.

Silence.

"I know, I heard you. But where is Father? Can I meet him?" Blackend asked once more, but this time without a response from his mother. He watched as her long tails moved side to side, the white under her tail glowing brightly. He looked around the landscape for any sign of his father, but everywhere he looked were flowers and nature. Looking back in front of him, he realized his mother had disappeared.

She was gone.

"Mom?" Blackend said, looking around again for any sign of her. Suddenly, the area became brighter than earlier, he looked at himself and realized he was bigger than before. He looked like his mother. Below him, was a small Korathos lying in a nest of twisted and scrambled sticks and leaves. But the Korathos looked exactly like himself.

He was looking at himself when he was younger.

He was no longer in the field of flowers, instead he was at the pride rocks where his old home had been. In front of him, was a giant green Celeritas. One he recognized. "Well look at you Araysh. Grown and now you have a young one, fast asleep." She said to him, a grin forming on her face that was both evil and admiring. "What are you talking about? My name is Blackend. Araysh is my mother." He said, only to look behind him and see a white glow under his tail, like his mother.

He was in his mother's body.

"You seem to have forgotten about what I told you before." She growled, tensing up in warning. "What ar-" Suddenly, the Celeritas lunged at her and sank her claws into his neck. Blackend roared and whipped his head around fast to try and remove the Celeritas but it was no luck. She buried her claws deeper and earned another roar from Blackend. He clawed at her wings and realized that nothing happened. His hands went right through her like nothing was even there as if the Celeritas was made of smoke or was a hologram that couldn't be hit. He bit onto the wing desperately, trying to remove the Celeritas once more but nothing happened again. He found himself unable to defend himself, allowing the Celeritas to make her attack. Later on, after 2 minutes of attacks, Blackend felt himself become tired. He fell sideways and hit the ground with a loud thud. He opened his eyes slowly and saw his younger form, shaking in fear at the Celeritas and running as fast as he could from the scene. The Celeritas had a long scar that ran down her face and multiple other scars on her wings and back. Blood dripped from the Celeritas as she grinned.

This was the fate of his mother. The fate he could never understand.

Why did it happen? Who was she? What was the cause of such a death for his mother?

He was reliving the time that scarred his life.

Blackend closed his eyes, and let himself be taken away into darkness. Suddenly, he shifted awake fast and remembered it was a dream.

He found himself lying on the sand in the desert, a small pool of water in front of him for drinking, trees lined up around it with patches of grass around it as well. He looked up at the large yellow crystal above him that was engulfed in the rock and looked next to him seeing a Red, white, and black Ghartokus. Its head was lowered into the white fluff around her neck and she glared at Darkend. "A Korathos? How funny. I heard your kind was supposed to be gone by now." The Ghartokus said, raising her head back up and eyeing him with a serious look. He had heard the insult plenty of times before, that his kind was supposed to be gone and extinct. "Is there something you need Ma'am?" Blackend replied, rising from the sand slowly and looking down at her turning his head. "Yes, why yes there is. You are on my territory." She growled. "Territory? I have lived here for a long time. I've been here for so long and I have grown up here. What do you mean by your territory?" He suddenly stood back, noticing the pack that stood behind her. One was a Geortharoc, one he recognized. "Vine?" Blackend said, nodding his head toward the Geortharoc to get his attention. "You should go Blackend. Make this easier for us." Vine replied, looking down with guilt. Vine was a large full-grown Geortharoc that was dark green and light green, the colors you would find on a tree in the jungle. Blue water dripped down his back and he stood still facing the Korathos.

Blackend felt betrayed, realizing his friend was against him. While being fully aware that Blackend had always been in the location. The Ghartokus then stepped a foot down hard into the sand.

"Deal with him Vine. He doesn't listen."

Vine nodded his head and stood forward, Blackend stepped back instantly in alarm.

This wasn't a fight he wanted. He never wanted to fight anyone. But he found himself having to go with the option he always chose when it came to battles.

Run.
