🎈CHAPTER 34🎈

•°Corinne's POV°•

Ben helped me climbed down the well, which I found so sweet, as he tried his best to make sure I don't fall, how I missed this, if only I didn't disappeared back then, I wonder what would have been different in my life.

When we got to the sewers, we stepped into the gray water, which had me pull a face but I endured it.

"Oh man."

"Blech. Gray water."

It was tunnel after tunnel, the disgusting water getting deeper and deeper with each turn we take.

Once we arrived at the place where Beverly and I floated in the air all those years ago, I actually started getting goosebumps, it looked exactly the same, and yet completely different, it made me shiver.

"Shit. This is it." Ben says from next to me. "This is where it happened." He adds, it's the place I almost got killed, but also the place Ben saved me from a terrible nightmare, with a simple kiss.

We moved forward, but something just didn't feel right, it was like danger was about to pop out of nowhere, but we still made our way towards the only island that wasn't covered with water.

"No, no, no. No. Ugh!" Eddie says, avoiding touching any garbage that was floating around.

For a moment I thought I heard someone call out my name from the darkness, making me look, but nothing was there.

"Cori, what is it?" Ben asks, concerned when he noticed I wasn't following the rest of them, grabbing the attention of everyone else.

"I thought I heard someone calling out to..." But I got stopped mid sentence when some hideous monster looking appeared Infront of me, laughing over Beverly and I's screams. It grabbed me around my neck, tightly.

"Cori!" Ben shouts trying to get to me.

"Time to sink!" It says pulling me underwater, I tried getting away but it kept pulling me down, almost at the bottom it just held me there, my lungs started burning looking for air, I kicked and slapped trying to get away, but it didn't allow me, until I felt someone's arms around my waist pulling me away from it's hold, i saw some of the others making it let go.

Once I was back above the water, I gasp for air, taking a deep breath, looking at the person who pulled me out of the water, only to see that it was Ben, he seems to always be the one to save me.

"You okay?" Ben asks me, I just layed my head on his shoulder trying to get my heartbeat under control.

"I feel like crying." Eddie says.

"Mike. Where do we go from here?" Richie asks, only for Mike to show us that on the island there was a door.

"In the depths is where it crept. In the beneath, to find belief. In the depths is where it crept. In the beneath, to find belief." Mike mutters.

"Is he okay?" Ben asks.

"I think at this point, that's a relative question." Richie states.

"What's on the other side?" Beverly asks him.

"I don't know. No one does." Mike says, only making me think that this was just perfect, but it didn't stop Mike from opening the door.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!"

"Mike!"

He looked, down, and I can tell you it was definitely a long way down.

"Mike, don't." Bill says.

"All right. See you down there." Mike says, climbing down the hole, as the others called out to him.

"Stay together."

"Okay."

I went next after Bill, not taking the chance of being at the back of the group, and getting grabbed once again. It was a hard climb down, but we were able to make it down without any surprises from that damn clown.
