Agent I and 06 spent some time the following day training. Agent I had asked him to help her practise her newly chosen abilities because his abilities would allow them to emulate something similar to what Agent I would face in the field. 06's abilities lent perfectly to this training session as his abilities allowed him to mimic abilities that he has come in contact with.
"Hit me!" she said to 06, moments before he cast a wave of weakness, the most basic of attacks. Agent I cast Anima Scutum a moment too late and the wave washed over her, almost bringing her to her knees. 06 darted forward as if to catch her but she raised a hand in protest. If she was going to get a handle on these abilities then it won't be by allowing people to catch her when she falls. She needed to perfect them regardless of any failures.
"Again!" she said to 06, who hesitantly cast another.
"So close!" she snapped, missing the window again by a fraction of a second.
"Again!" she screamed with ecstasy as if she was enjoying how close she was getting to perfecting her first ability, regardless of how much she was struggling.
"Again!"
"Again!"
"AGAIN!" she shouted one last time while barely holding her balance, her knees were weak, her arms were heavy and she looked tired but showed no sign of slowing down.
"GO!" she screamed, 06 let out a final attack. After releasing it, realising that he had charged it up too much, he tried to outrun it and pull Agent I out of the way but the attack was too fast. The wave washed over her and 06 stood there in shock. Had he just hurt the newest recruit?...

As the wave washed over Agent I, 06 stood in shock from what he had done. He should have focused on maintaining a lower level of potency, Even a basic attack, if too potent, can still weaken its recipients severely. As he was overthinking what he had done and what to do next, he saw a faint glow of blue and gold light. Agent I was standing there with a glowing aura around her body and her weapon, which she had unsheathed and used to cut through the spell. The spell was split in half and wrapped around her on both sides, Anima Scutum protected her from its weakening effects.
"I DID IT!!" she exclaimed as 06 sighed, relieved that he hadn't just sent the newest recruit to the institute's infirmary.
