"Congratulations, Mrs. Neha is expecting! She is four and a half weeks pregnant!", The doctor announced.

It was good news, so to say, but there was suddenly a grave silence in the room. Though Neha had never shared much about her married life with Umer and Hira, even they were almost sure that she was going through a rocky phase in her marriage. Adam was worried, taken aback, and heart-broken, all at the same time. Just like Umer and Hira, he knew that Neha's marriage wasn't going well at all, and this pregnancy was going to make it more difficult to make a decision that was the best for her. He was worried for her mental health, which was already deteriorating and he was heartbroken to find out that the woman he had silently loved for so many years was expecting her first child with Sarim. He knew that she had been married for two years now, he knew that this was going to happen some day or another, but if he was being extremely honest, the hints about Neha's rocky marriage with Sarim had given him tiny hope that he still had a chance. Tears flowed out of his eyes, involuntarily, while he lost his balance and quickly grabbed the wall behind him for support.

"Are you okay?", the doctor enquired as he watched Adam struggle to control his emotions.

"Sir, actually aapke paas galat report aayi hai. Voh jo aapke haath mein hai, voh Mrs. Neha Khan ki reports hai, aur Yeh Mrs. Neha Bin Jaabir ki reports hai. Humne Mrs. Jaabir ka bhi pregnancy test kiya tha, par voh report negative aayi hai. First Names aur test parameters similar hone ki vajah se nurse ne aapko galat reports hand over ki thee. Really sorry.", the junior doctor came over and confessed while handing over Neha's actual reports to the Doctor.

After passing a disappointed look to his junior, the doctor quickly opened the file and studied the reports carefully.

Adam, Umer and Hira were partially relieved after hearing the conversation they just witnessed, but were looking expectantly at the doctor so that he would them what had actually gone wrong.

"Dekhein, Neha ji pregnant toh nahi hai. I apologise for the confusion and miscommunication. Par unke blood-stream mein neend ki goliyon ki bhaari maatra mili hai, because of which unka BP low hogya tha and voh behosh ho gayi thi. Reports ke hisab se voh kai mahino se yeh goliyaan kha rahi hai and even if these medicines were prescribed to her, koi bhi doctor itna high dose prescribe nahi karega. Is she stressed about something?", The doctor questioned after explaining Neha's reports.

"Umm, stressed toh voh hai doctor. Maine usse bohot Baar puchne ki koshish ki hai, but she just denies being worried about anything", Hira said.

"Neha ki health ab kaisi hai, doctor? Can we go and see her?"

"Abhi toh voh stable hai, aap Mei se koi ek unse jaakar mil sakta hai. But please make sure voh sedatives ka itna heavy dose naa lein. I really think Psychological Counselling will help her in the long run, also please make sure ki unhe externally kisi cheez ka stress naa ho, she is already very stressed internally.". The Doctor said.

"When can we take her home, doctor?", Umer enquired.

"Aaj ka din toh toh observation mein rahengi, but aap log kal dopeher tak unhe ghar le jaa sakte hai.", the doctor said.

While Umer and Hira were conversing with the doctor, Adam hurriedly went into Neha's room. He was desperate to know if she was okay and couldn't control himself anymore.

Just as he turned the door-knob to go inside, he heard sobs and instantly understand that Neha too had been misinformed by the nurse that she was pregnant. When he opened the door completely, he saw that she lay in the bed, breathing heavily, with tears flowing out of her reddened eyes.

"Neha", he called out to her as he walked to her bedside.

As soon as she saw him, she attempted to wake up but immediately winced in pain as the IV tube that was attached to the back of her hand got stretched due to her sudden attempt to move. Adam instinctively but gently held her arm to stop her from getting up and gestured her to wait. He went and adjusted the lever of the bed to incline it a little, so Neha could sit up. He then settled down on the stool next to Neha's bed.

Before he could speak, Neha spoke in between sobs.

"Adam! Mujhe yeh bachcha nahi chaahiye! Mein uss toxic Aadmi ke bachche ko janam nahi dena chaahti! Mein toh kabhi bhi use pasand nahi kar paayi thi, bohot koshishon ke baavaajood bhi, par mein abba ke pyaar mein itni andhi ho gayi thi, ki maine apni saari instincts ko maar kar kahin dafnaa diya. Ab tak toh Abba aur sab ghar vaalo ko pataa chal gaya hoga aur voh mujhe Sarim ke paas Germany jaane ke liye majboor karenge. Mujhe nahi jaana Adam! Mujhe Nahi jaana!", she almost screamed in between the sobs that had turned into louder cries now.

"Neha..", Adam said calmly, but she was so engrossed in crying that she couldn't hear him. He couldn't see her suffer like this anymore. He quickly stood up and held her firmly by her shoulders and spoke.

"You aren't pregnant. That was a misunderstanding."

Neha was so exhausted and pre-occupied with crying that she wasn't able to register what Adam was saying.

Adam tightened his grip on her shoulders and moved a little closer to her. He shook her lightly while he spoke, to make sure she understood

"NEHA! TUM PREGNANT NAHI HO! IT WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING!" In the heat of the moment Adam's face had moved dangerously close to Neha's and neither of them realised that because Adam was preoccupied with trying to comfort Neha and she was preoccupied with how she was going to handle her pregnancy.

This time around, Neha had heard what Adam was trying to say. While she processed the relieving news that she had just heard from her best friend. She touched her forehead to his and took a few deep breaths in order to process what she had just heard and they stayed in that position for a minute or so. Their breaths intermingled and Adam wiped her tears with his left thumb while his right hand was secured lightly around her waist.
