A week has passed and last I heard, Asher has been fired. Carrie apologized many times over the week but I kept on telling her it's okay and there's no need to apologize. Captain King allowed us to take a vacation so we all agreed we'll go home, stay with our families, visit the places we used to go, I decided I'll go see my mom's grave and talk to her.
"Hey, Mom, it's been awhile. I'm sorry I stopped visiting, I've just been busy, you know with work. I hope you're not too mad at me."
Soon there was a whisper around Nia, she couldn't hear it but she knew it was her mother.
"I could never be mad at you." Sophia said.
"I love you, Mom."
Sophia whispered.
"I love you. too."
After talking to my mom, I felt better. Like all the stress I've had for those past 2 days has disappeared.
"Nia."
"Asher!"
