I drove as fast as I could. I went to Chris and Carrie's old house when they were living with their parents. When I got there I knocked on the door.

"Oh, hello, Nia." Mr. Smith said.

"Is Carrie and Chris here?"

"No, well Chris is here but Carrie went out to the store."

"I need to talk to Chris, like, right now!"

"He's in his old room, go ahead."

"THANK YOU!"

I ran up the stairs and ran into Chris' room.

"Nia, what's wrong?"

"We need to go and find Carrie!"

"Why."

"I went to my mom's grave and Asher was there."

"How did he find you?"

"THAT'S NOT THE POINT! Soon after Asher was talking about whatever, there was a girl looking at me. I ran after her and it was Nick's ex-girlfriend, she said she was going to quit her job. She was working for Jackson, who is Ryan by the way."

"Again!?"

"YES AGAIN! Anyway, I went to the prison where Ryan is and he knows who the killer is."

"Who is he?"

"Well, he is a she."

"The killer is a girl?"

"Yeah. Ryan also said I'm pregnant, 1 month to be exact."

"You're pregnant!" exclaimed Chris.

"Yeah, I am."

We just looked at each other, and didn't say a word. We never talked about kids yet, I've always wanted children but I don't know if Chris wanted children.

"Do you want to keep it?" Chris asked.

"I don't know, we never talked about kids yet. We were always too busy with work, we wouldn't have the time for kids."

"We'll worry about that later, where is Carrie?"

"She should be at the store."

Chris and I drove to the store where Carrie was supposed to be. I went to the store manager and asked if he saw Carrie.

"Excuse me, sir? But have you seen this girl?"

"Oh yeah she was just here, I saw her talking to a girl and they left the store together."

"What did the girl look like?" Chris asked.

"She had red hair and green eyes. She also had pale white skin."

Nia pulled out her phone.

"Was this her?" Nia asked.

"Yeah, that's the girl."

"It's Bevs, Bevs is the killer."

"Thank you for your time, sir." Chris said.

We ran out of the store and drove off. We drove for an hour and still didn't find Carrie, we even went to Bevs's house and she wasn't there. After 2 hours of searching and asking, Chris and I took a small break.

"This is all your fault Nia!" exclaimed Chris.

"What! How is this my fault!?"

"If you were never born then none of this would have happened! If you'd just stayed in your house that night your mom would still be alive! And on top of that, now you're pregnant! I don't want to marry you!"

I looked at Chris like I was about to cry, the last time I cried was the night my mom died.

"Nia, I didn't mean..."

"What century do you live in? You think people have to get married just because they have kids? Look, I won't lie and say I haven't thought about having kids. But I never told you because I figured you weren't ready. I'm not ready to be a mom, and I know you're not ready to be a dad. But babies happen when you have sex and you and I have definitely done that. So you can either buck up and take responsibility, or I do this alone."

I walked away from Chris.

"Where are you going!?" Chris asked.

"I'm going to look for Carrie myself."

"You can't, you're pregnant!"

"Maybe, but my best friend is out there and with each second she doesn't turn up is another second she's hurt or scared.."

"Please think about what you're doing!"

"Already did, I'm going to help Carrie one way or another."

I walked all the way back into town.

"I'm sorry, Nia." Chris said.
