I'm sitting down on Ford's bed as he is seated in a desk chair beside the bed, a textbook open over his lap as he points to something on the page. "This concept here is really important." He notes as he motions to a page full of equations. "It explains the fundamentals of energy."

I nod along before starting to write down his notes into my own notebook. He takes a moment before continuing, skimming over the textbook as he waits for me to finish.

"You'll need to know the different types of energy as well." He explains as he points to a different part of the book. "For example, chemical, gravitational, potential, and kinetic." I press the pencil eraser up against my lips as I look over that section of his notes.

Ford notices my look of concentration and smiles slightly. "Do you understand that?" He inquires as he watches me look over his notes. "Yeah, it's not too bad. I'll definitely have to memorize the differences between them though."

He laughs softly. "Don't worry. You'll have plenty of time to commit them to memory." A slight smile pulls at the corner of his mouth. "Besides, I'm here to help you with that too."

A smile forms on my face as I look up, from the notebook, at him."We make a good studying team. Thanks for helping me catch up." Ford's smile softens as I thank him. "It's no problem at all. I'm glad I could help."

He pauses for a moment before continuing. "You'd still be doing good without my help. You're smart, you'd figure it all out in no time even if I wasn't here." I shrug in response. "Maybe but I like studying with you. Just spending time with you in general is fun."

I lean forward more as I lower my voice. "And we have Stan's car so we can go and get a milkshake or something after we're done studying as a reward." Ford's eyes take note of my leaning forward and lowering my voice which just makes his amused expression grow. He then chuckles as I mention the milkshake, a smirk growing on his face. "I like the way you think."

"Then let's finish studying quickly so we can go get some." I say with a large grin on my face. Ford grins as well. "How about this: I'll quiz you on a few key concepts after we finish. If you can get them right then we'll leave to get the milkshakes. Deal?"

I stretch my hand out as I nod. "Deal." He reaches over and takes a hold of my hand in a firm grip, shaking it to seal the deal. "Alright, let's get to studying then." He says with a smirk, his hand lingering before he pulls away to continue working through the physics notes.

We both continued to look through his notes and the textbook chirping information back and forth until we both had a good grasp on it. "What's Newton's second law again?" I ask after staring at one of the practice problems in the textbook for too long.

"Hmm..." Ford takes a second to ponder my question before responding. "Newton's second law states that...the sum of the external forces on an object is equal to the mass of that object times its acceleration." He answers, recalling the definition from memory.

I let out a small sigh. "Right. Right, I'll memorize that eventually." I write it down in my notebook before looking back at him. "You know I'm jealous that you can memorize stuff so fast." I joke slightly.

Ford laughs softly, the expression on his lips smug, yet fond. "You'll get those memorized. It takes time." He teases before pausing for a moment, giving me a look, his voice turning more playful. "Oh trust me, there are things you're better at than me." I tilt my head slightly. "Like what? Now I'm curious."

Ford grins wider. The look on his face turned sly and mischievous. "There's plenty of things you'd be better at than me at. You're far more sociable than I am. You can actually carry a conversation without being painfully awkward." He gives me a playful smirk as he adds on, "And you are much better at dealing with Stanley."

The last part makes me laugh. "You both balance each other out well. And your brothers of course it will seem like I can deal with him better than you." Ford laughs along with me. "We do balance each other out." He admits, his smile widening. "But you're right. You can deal with Stanley better than I can. He doesn't drive you insane as often as he does me."

"You both drive me insane sometimes." I continue to joke. "But I wouldn't want it any other way." I pause for a moment before smiling. "I'm more shocked that he listened to me ramble about science but he hates it when you do it. Such sibling behavior."

Ford laughs again at my comment. "He can't stand when I geek out, but doesn't mind when you do it." His smile turns into a smirk as he adds, "Maybe he just likes you or something." I roll my eyes at that. "Uh huh sure. That would be crazy."

I shake my head at the thought before poking him in the forehead with the eraser on my pencil. "No more off topic conversations. I really want milkshakes." Ford rubs at his forehead briefly with slight amusement. "Alright, alright. Back to studying." He responds, his smile still present.

Ford eventually closes the textbook after a long period of studying. "I think you have a good enough concept of the subject now." He states with a smile. "Ready for your quiz?" I stretch my arms above my head after Ford closes the textbook, making me feel much more awake. I then give him a firm nod. "Yes, I'm ready to see if we're getting our milkshakes."

"Great. Let's start with something easy." Ford starts, his tone more serious now due to acting as the teacher for this short quiz. "What's the formula for the law of universal gravitation?"

I lean back against the wall that the bed is against. "Super easy. Force is equal to the gravitational constant multiplied by the product of the masses. Then it's divided by the square of the distance." Ford gives me an approving nod in response. "That's correct." He says with a hint of pride in his voice.

"Here's a more difficult one. What are the four fundamental forces of nature?" I hum out as I think. "Oh! Gravity, electromagnetism, strong nuclear forces, and weak nuclear forces." I say proudly. Ford grins wider, slightly impressed with my correct answer. "You're doing really well." He states, his smile growing as he gives me another question. "What is the difference between kinetic and potential energy?"

I give him a look due to how easy the question is. "Kinetic energy is the energy an object possesses while potential energy is the stored energy an object has." We both stare at each other for a moment before I speak again. "Sooo, milkshakes now?"

Ford laughs heartily at my response. "Yes, we definitely earn those milkshakes now." He agrees, a large smile on his face. "C'mon, let's go before Stanley's practice ends." I quickly throw my notebook off my lap and stand up from the bed, grabbing Stan's keys in the process.
