Everything is falling apart, and now I don't even have you beside me to lend me a shoulder to cry on.
"You are getting better, Kitten. Now we have to make sure to train you with more improvised weapons," Hyunjin told Felix, who was drenched in sweat and panting heavily from the training. It had been almost a week since the team had been training in the forest.
For Felix, it was the most unusual and unexpected phase of his life-something he never imagined would occur in the first place. But it was getting more and more unusual and strange as days passed by because he was experiencing something he couldn't define.
As Hyunjin started training Felix, they eventually began spending more and more time together. Felix didn't even realize when he started yearning for the older's company, why he felt butterflies in his stomach whenever Hyunjin held his hands to correct his posture, and why he always started fidgeting or feeling nervous whenever they made eye contact. It was getting harder for Felix to cope with this new feeling.
"Kitten, are you even listening?" Felix jolted back to reality when he heard Hyunjin's voice. The blond-haired male was shaking his hands in front of Felix's face, breaking his trail of thoughts.
"Y-Yes, I am fine," Felix replied in a low tone, his voice stuttering as his gaze met Hyunjin's, who was staring at him with a concerned look on his face.
"Kitten, is something wrong?" Hyunjin questioned in a sympathetic tone, his eyes still glued to Felix, who averted his gaze, heat rushing to his cheeks until they turned a bright shade of pink.
"N-No, everything is fine," Felix answered in a panicked voice, his anxiety taking over him. They both fell into an awkward silence.
"Okay then, let's go back. I won't spare you if you miss your meal," Hyunjin stated uneasily, trying to lighten the awkwardness.
"You go; I will come after some time," Felix told Hyunjin in a low voice, still avoiding the order's gaze.
"Alright then. Make sure that you come," Hyunjin finally replied in a disappointed voice before leaving Felix alone. Felix exhaled a sigh of relief when Hyunjin finally left, but that relief soon turned to anger as he thought about the encounter. He was feeling a bunch of emotions whenever he thought about Hyunjin.
"I think I need to spend some time alone," Felix whispered to himself before walking towards the waterfall, which was a few miles away.
Felix sat on the ground, drowning his legs in the cold water of the waterfall he had discovered a couple of days ago during training with Hyunjin. It had become his usual spot whenever he searched for peace.
"I am not supposed to feel this way," Felix finally declared gloomily. He knew he was developing feelings for Hyunjin and considered it wrong because he didn't want to fall into an empty shell of emotions. But Felix could not restrain himself; the feeling was too magnetic, too strange and different, as he had never felt this way before.
"Sometimes, it is better to share your worries with someone than to carry the burden alone." Felix snapped out of his thoughts when Hyunjin's voice suddenly broke the silence. The older boy sat beside him, also dipping his legs in the cold water.
"How did you know I was here?" Felix questioned in surprise, causing Hyunjin to chuckle lightly.
"I'm not the head of the terrorists just like that, Kitten. I had seen you going in this direction. Now, care to tell me what is troubling you?" Hyunjin asked in a soft voice. Felix glanced at him; Hyunjin's face glimmered under the moonlight, his deep red eyes reflective in the soft shine, making him look even more appealing.
"I just wanted to spend some time alone," Felix replied faintly, his mind clouding again with confused thoughts, forcing him to distance himself from Hyunjin to try to get over those feelings he had been experiencing for days.
"I asked you what is troubling you, Kitten, and I've noticed you've been avoiding me. May I know why?" Hyunjin stated softly, his expression turning grave as he gazed at Felix, who nervously averted his gaze and remained silent.
"Kitten, answer me! Why the hell are you avoiding me-?" Hyunjin yelled at Felix in annoyance.
"Because I don't want my feelings to become a hurdle in our mission!" Felix yelled back, surprising Hyunjin with his outburst.
"The plan was to save Crystal Snow from the cruel intentions of Bobby, but developing feelings for you was not part of the plan Felix exclaimed in frustration, his bold voice shocking the blond-haired male who had never seen Felix this furious and infuriated before.
"I don't want to hurt myself with the fact that the guy whom I accidentally fell in love with does not even trust me....." Felix uttered in a low voice and took a deep sigh, finally ending his speech.
Hyunjin remained silent and continued observing Felix with his siren dark eyes, whose face was red from anger. None of them spoke for a moment, a dead silence surrounding them both.
"Look at me."
Felix widened his eyes in shock at hearing his name from the older's mouth and glanced at Hyunjin, who had a calm expression on his face. Hyunjin scooted closer to Felix, gently cupping Felix's face with his hands to make him look at him. He observed Felix's spotless face under the moonlight, admiring his adorable and innocent deep blue-colored eyes looking back at him, his spotty and squishy cheeks gently cupped by his own hands. Hyunjin's gaze fell on his lips, which were pinkish heart shaped.
"Felix, sorry for what I am going to do now," Hyunjin finally declared, lifting Felix's face before leaning in and gently connecting both of their lips together. Felix was shocked at first but soon melted into the warm kiss and responded by moving his lips against Hyunjin's.
Felix wrapped his arms around Hyunjin's neck, tilting his face to deepen the kiss. Their lips moved in perfect sync against each other, both of their minds reeling from the pleasurable and intoxicating feeling. Hyunjin could taste the other's honey-sweet lips as they delicately brushed against his. The caress of Felix's lips was softer than Hyunjin could have ever imagined. Tentatively, Hyunjin licked Felix's lower lip with his tongue, causing Felix to open his mouth with a low moan as Hyunjin slipped his tongue inside, invading every corner of the younger's mouth.
They both finally pulled apart, panting heavily to catch their breaths, their hearts still racing. Hyunjin glanced at Felix, who was looking back at him, blushing heavily as they made eye contact, making Hyunjin laugh at his adorable response.
Hyunjin cupped Felix's face in his hands and remarked playfully, "You are acting as if it was the first time we both have kissed, Felix."
"Y-you l-like m-e?" Felix asked in a stuttering voice, his face still hot from the rush of adrenaline coursing through his body. Hyunjin burst into laughter at Felix's shyness, leaning forward to press a gentle kiss on Felix's forehead. Felix froze in his spot as he heard the older's reply, not expecting that answer.
"Felix, I fell in love with you since the first time we both met," Hyunjin replied in a deep voice, his siren dark eyes glancing lovingly at Felix, who was shocked by the older's remark. "Now, no more questions unless we both go back to our place." Hyunjin finally announced, wrapping his arms around Felix's thin frame and carrying him princess-style in his strong arms.
Felix wrapped his arms tightly around Hyunjin's neck, nuzzling his face against Hyunjin's chest as he carried him, and they both returned back to the members...
