Jake POV:
"OH MY GOD MOM," I say, completely disgusted. "YOU WANT ORANGE PAINT FOR YOUR ROOM?"
Eomma looks confused. "But don't you like orange?" she asks, looking confused. (A/N: If you remember, Jake's room is painted navy blue.. no wonder Jake is mad at his mom lmao)
"Mom," I say, trying hard to stay calm. "What color is my room painted?"
"Navy bl-" she starts to say. "OH MY GOSH. I'M SO STUPID. BLUE AND ORANGE GO HORRIBLY TOGETHER." she makes a face of disgust.
I roll my eyes. "Finally, woman," I say jokingly. "At least you didn't choose something like yellow and purple stripes."
She shudders, then laughs. "I'm calling Dad. There's a restaurant nearby, and I heard that their galbitang is amazing." My mouth waters at the thought. "Is that okay with you?"
I nod, not even trying to hide how hungry I am. "I haven't had galbitang for so long, it has to be a crime."
She laughs again, this time a little louder. "Let's get to the car, and tell Dad to bring Jane with him. I'm sure she'll want some kalguksu."
(Time skip)
We're at the restaurant, a place called Jin's Noodle House. Everything about this restaurant is nice: the atmosphere, the staff, the food, the decor, everything. Once I try the galbitang, there's no stopping me. I order two more bowls and devour them, Jane staring at me incredulously. There's two kind-faced slightly older looking guys walking around, checking in with every table. When they get to our table, they introduce themselves as Jin and Namjoon, the owners.
"Please, give my compliments to the chef," my dad says. "The food is divine."
Jin smiles. "Thank you," he says. "I try my best when I cook my dishes, except Joonie can't cook to save his life."
My dad smiles, but then it falters. "Thank you for the food! We'll make sure to leave a good review." Then he ushers us out after paying. Once we get in the car, he mutters, "I can't believe these people let the faggots cook for them."
My mom nods. "We're never going there again." she says, with a disapproving look on her face.
Then, Jane speaks up. I get a bad feeling in my stomach. My instincts tell me to make sure whatever she's going to say doesn't leave her mouth. I ignore them. What could she say that's so bad? Well, I get my answer. "Jake's gay, and I can prove it to you." she says triumphantly.

Damn Jane. Now why would you go and do that? Bitch. Anyways, I'm sorry that this chapter is shorter than usual, but I felt like it would be better to have it like this. Anyways, this chapter's song rec is "Run Away" by TXT. It's an amazing song and holy shit I can see why it made Nayeon cry.
