I woke up from my nap and looked around the room. I reached over to find Alexander but he wasn’t there. I frowned and said “Alexander-?”

“Over here.”

I looked over and he smiled at me.

“Were you watching me sleep?”

“Yup.”

“For how long?”

“Only two hours.”

I sighed and said “That’s not creepy.”

“Not at all.”

I laughed and said “Is there a reason you were watching me?”

I ran my hands in his hair and he said “You're just so beautiful. You're perfect for me.”

I smiled and said “You think so?”

“I know so.”

He smiled and I said “What are you doing on the floor? Get in bed.”

“Can you answer a question for me first?”

“What?”

He held up a ringbox and opened it.

“Will you marry me?”

I was shocked.

“What?”

“Be my wife. We don’t have to get married in the next year or even five years. As long as I have you in my life I don’t care.”

I kissed him and said “Yes.”

I think he looked more shocked than I did when he asked me.

“Say that again.”

I giggled and said “Yes. A thousand times yes.”

He slipped the ring onto my finger and scooped me out of the bed. He spun me around and said “You’ve made me the happiest man alive!”

I giggled and buried my face in his neck.

“First the date. We need to figure out the date.”

I looked at him and said “I want a summer wedding.”

“Done. Whatever you want.”

He kissed me and said “What year?”

“This year.”

He chuckled and said “Six month to plan a wedding. We can do this.”

My stomach growled and he said “Let’s get some food.”

I nodded and said “Okay.”

We went down to the kitchen and started cooking.

“Who are you texting?”

He smiled and said “You my love need to turn on your phone. You're not answering your mother.”

I sighed and said “Did you tell her we’re fine?”

“I sure did.”

“Okay then I don’t need to turn my phone on.”

He chuckled and said “Fair enough. This is our last month here. What do you want to do?”

I smiled and said “Work on my tan for the wedding.”

He chuckled and said “You know you don’t tan, you go from white, to red back to white.”

I pouted and he said “If you get sunburnt I won’t be able to touch you for a few weeks.”

I made a face and said “Nevermind then.”
