Song: A Trophy Father's Trophy Son~ Sleeping with sirens

"For goodness sake! Can't you see what your doing to him?" Luke's mother screamed.

"You're the one who's ruining this family. Always screaming and over reacting! Do you even care about him?" His dad shouted back.

"Well I obviously care more than you. I freaking birthed him! And for at least 20% of his life you weren't there. So where were you? Oh yeah I forgot; business trips."

"At least I have a job. I was providing for this family. For the house, food, his education and for all your stupid clothes, makeup and jewellery!"

All of this shouting was normal for Luke. Well it wasn't supposed to be. But it happens so often that it had become normal.

The family of three had started out trying to have a nice family dinner but it hasn't lasted long Before the two parents had erupted into an argument.

They were always fighting nowadays. When they were by themselves, in front of their own son and sometimes in public. Although Luke felt bad about it but sometimes he wished that they would just get a divorce. He didn't want his parents to split up because he had the small shred of hope that underneath the arguing they still loved each other.

However there was also the chance that they didn't love each other. And for the boy it was heart breaking watching his parents fighting. Or him having to comfort his mum when shes crying. As for his farther, he had taken up the habit of smoking and drinking to calm his nerves.

He stood up from the table, took his plate to the kitchen and put it in the dishwasher all without his parents even noticing because they were still shouting at each other over the dinning room table.

He went up to his room, which was a place he had become overly familiar with. He looked at the posters that were stuck upon his walls with by Blue-Tack. The posters he had were of the likes of:

•All Time Low
•Boys like Girls
•Blink-182
•Mayday Parade
•Fall Out Boy
•Pierce The Veil
•Black Veil Brides
•good Charlotte
•Beartooth
•Neck Deep
•Ed Sheeran
•Greenday
•Halsey
•My Chemical Romance
•Nirvana
•Panic At The Disco

And many more.

You see, for Luke, music was a release. A release of everything. All the stress and worry. All the sadness and regret. It was a way for him to let go and to set all his burdens free. It was a way for him to reflect and to truly feel his emotions. Every Night- as if it were routine- he would take his plate, go upstairs and listen to music.

However the most heart breaking sound was a sound that Luke's music couldn't block out.

The door.

For most people the sound of the door opening and closing was a happy sound because it meant that some one has entered their home. Maybe a relative bearing presents and leaving a trail of happiness behind them. Or a friend who is bringing fun and company.

But unfortunately for Luke he didn't have any relatives that could come to his house; as they were all living in foreign countries. As for friends he doesn't have any to come and keep him company.

So that meant when the door slammed it was the sound of one of his parents leaving the house. Usually it was his dad and every time he would go to the local pub to smoke and get drunk.

One of the most scary things for the 16 year old boy used to be that if one of his parents left the house there's a good chance that they won't be coming back at all. However both his mother and farther have walked out a countless amount of times due to their fights.
