Song: Heroine ~ Sleeping With Sirens

Michael tried to get rid of his troubles but, he couldn't drown his demons because they knew how to swim.

Ashton woke up feeling awful. It wasn't an illness of a fever like most situations. It was guilt. Eating away at him bit by bit untill there was nothing left but the guilty heart that was keeping him alive.

People had always told him that what you give is what you get. In Ashton's case he got nothing but guilt and regret.

He slowly got out of bed and got dressed. He didn't take a shower as he was simply too lazy.

As he was doing his hair he accidentally brushed upon his head and a wave of pain shot through his body. He instantly remembered what happened last night. His dad, his mum, calum.

Crap, Calum.

He still don't know the reason why he had been so mean to him. There was no reason for it. He needed to apologise for it and he needed to do it today.

After getting dressed he woke his siblings up- his mum left earlier this morning as she had to get back to work.

That sucked a lot and Ashton felt bad that he hadn't spent much time with her when she was here. However, he knew it was his own fault, if he hadn't been mean to calum, he wouldn't be feeling guilty. And if he hadn't been feeling guilty then he wouldn't be gone to his room so early.

He stood in the bathroom looking at his reflection in the mirror- something that he did quite frequently nowdays.

He didn't like what he saw. He saw a bruised and broken boy who put up a strong front when really underneath he was weak.

Just as weak as the people he bullied. He had subconsciously made it his mission to make sure that they were bruised and broken just like him so he wouldn't be the only one.

The bruises on his face made him remember that his dad never did come home last night.

Maybe he got hit by a bus. Ashton chuckled at his sinister thoughts.

Ashton didn't want him to die, he would never wish death upon anyone even his farther. However Ashton would be lying if he said didn't want that man to feel any pain. Maybe it will make him think about how Ashton felt.

He opened his mothers makeup bag and used some of her foundation as they had the same skin completion.

Ashton had become too familiar with this procedure and it was routine to cover up his bruises. He couldn't have anyone see that someone had hurt him. As far as the kids at school were concerned no one could hurt Ashton Irwin.

As he rubbed in the makeup he was called by his siblings. He grabbed his keys and bag. Today he was driving as he didn't feel he would be able to walk that distance due to his pounding head.

They got in the car, Lauren in the front with Ashton and Harry in the back.

As they were driving, Laurens bruised arm reached out to turn the radio on. Straight away Ashton turned it back off, "I'm sorry, I've got a really bad headache."

Lauren just nodded understandingly. After that no one spoke for the rest of the car journey as none of them were particularly happy.

After he dropped them off at school he drove to his school and parked the car.

The only thing he could think about as he walked through the school gates, was finding calum and appolgising.

"Hey ash, so I got with steph last night and dayum you were right." George said laughing holding his hand out to get a high five from Ashton. However, Ashton just ignored his supposed best friend and entered the school.
