His dad left him and was never coming back.

As Luke woke up he remembered that his new friend Michael was coming to pick him up.

Although Luke was a bit embarrassed about it, he was nervous around Michael. But, he felt that when he was around Michael he could be his true self.

They talk about all the things that would be considered childish or weird like video games and TV shows.

However, the blonde boy was afraid of coming off as clingy towards his new friend. He didn't know how ro act as he didn't have much experience with friends. In the past he had always kept himself to himself.

He wasn't adventurous so he wouldn't go out to new places. He wasn't talkative and he didn't enjoy the feeling of being pushed out of his comfort zone.

He understood that once in a while it's good to try new things. But Luke didn't see the idea of constantly living out side his safe zone, because then you don't really have a comfort zone anymore.

The blonde boy softly hummed a quiet tune to himself as he got dressed wearing the same clothes as he did the previous day.

Meanwhile Michael was also just waking up for school.

"Michael honey." Michael's mum cooed as she gently shook the sleeping boy to wake him from his deep slumber.

The teenage boy groaned in annoyance as he valued his sleep.

"Okay." He managed to say in his raspy morning voice. His just mum smiled at him.

"Be downstairs in time for breakfast." she said before kissing him in the forehead, leaving the messy room before closing the door behind her.

Michael's mother was a really nice person. She loved children and was devastated when she found out that, after Michael, she couldn't have any more children. She had wanted to adopt but she never did.

After Michael had just been born she was told that something had gone wrong with Michael's birth and that there was a strong possibility she could loose her newborn. However Michael, fortunately, survived.

Ever Since Michael's mum had been so afraid that she would loose Michael so she always was really close with him.

This was one of the reasons Michael would get bullied. People would be rude to him because she was a 'Momma's boy'.

Michael's parents knew about the bullying and how bad it actually got. He would always come home with scars from scratches, and bruises from fights.

His parents would always ask why but he would never be able to tell his mum that it was because she was too loving and caring for him. He would never say that to his mum.

The black haired boy slowly got out of bed and slowly walked to his bathroom. He looked at himself in the large bathroom mirror that hung across the wall.

Next he turned in the shower and left it to warm up whilst he brushed his teeth. After he stripped off his pyjamas and got into the now warm shower.

As he got into the shower he felt himself relax immediately. Maybe today will be fine he thought to himself. Michael hated being picked on or being the centre of attention. It brought down his confidence.

The boy stepped out of the the shower and was overwhelmed by the cold air that hit his warm body which caused him to shiver slightly. He quickly wrapped himself in a towel and walked back into his room.
