"Well, look what the cat dragged in."

It didn't take us very long to meet up with the rest of the crew. Tyler told them to meet us at a place where they sold trailers. Aunt Cathy wasn't very fond of us using her trailer when it would get sucked into a tornado, so we had to buy one.

"Ben." Tyler spoke up walking up to the journalist. "You stuck around?"

"Turns out there's more to this story than I thought." He answered.

"We got a new ending for ya." Tyler told him as he shook Ben's hand. Him and Boone continue to talk to Ben while Kate and I made our way over to the group. Dexter was the first to notice her. "Look who it is. City girl."

"What's up, guys?" Lily asked. She pulled me into a short hug. "I missed you. You aren't allowed to leave me like that again."

"Yes ma'am."

"You finally decided to ditch all those squares, huh?" Dexter asked Kate as Lily and I pulled apart.

"Y'all missed a good one." Lily said as she pulled up the video feed. It was of an EF2. "I'm mad that Dylan wasn't there to get us some good photos."

I pull out my phone and show her the photos I took of the tornado we rode into. "Does this make up for it?"

Lily let out a loud gasp as she snatched the phone from my hands. "You got up close to it?"

"More like inside it."

"We both did." Kate told her. "Lily, do you think you can rig the drone to collect data?"

"I can do that." Lily said as she handed my phone to Dexter for him to look at. Kate nodded her head in thanks before she walked away from us.

"I still can't believe you got up close to it." Lily told me when Dexter handed my phone back to me. I slip into my pocket with a laugh.

"I can't believe I did it either."

"You enjoyed it, didn't you?" Dexter asked.

I nod my head. "I really did. It felt relieving in a sense as well. Being able to overcome my fear."

"I'm proud of you." Lily smiled as she pulled me into another hug.

"Thank you."

"Are those two still pinning after each other?" Lily asked me. I look over to see Tyler and Kate in a deep conversation making me roll my eyes.

"Pisses you off too, doesn't it?"

"Yes!" She exclaimed. "Not as bad as you and Boone though."

"You don't have to worry about that anymore." I mumble as I rake my hand through my hair. Lily did a double take as if I had grown two heads. Her eyes then graze down to my neck where his already fading marks were.

"I'll be damned. That's why he looks like he hit the lottery."

I nearly jump out of my skin when an arm is slung around my shoulder. I look up to see Boone staring down at me with a soft smile. "You talkin' about me, baby?"

"You wish." I roll my eyes at him before looking at Lily. She had a happy smile on her face.

"Who made the first move?"

"I like to think I made the first move when I met her for the first time." I look over at him with raised brows.

"Is that so?"

"How many people our age call you baby on the first meeting?" He asked me.

"True." I shrug my shoulders before turning to Lily. "To answer you question. It was me."
