"Nothing Ever Lasts Forever" DOGMAN PETEY ANGST

*Pulling a Brawl of The Wild*

**While eating breakfast, Petey, Dogman, 80-HD and LP hear the doorbell ring. "Doorbell!" LP says, jumping up to rush to the door. Everyone gets up to see who's at the door, LP and Dogman barking as the rush to the door. Outside they see a police officer. "Yes sir?" Petey says, wondering if Dogman's late for work. AGAIN. That's probably why he's here, Dogman's always late for work. "Petey The Cat, you are under arrest for robbery." "WHAT!!?? Papa would never, he's a good guy now!" "Think again, Lil' Ralphie." The cop says as he pulls me against his car and puts handcuffs on me. Wait a minute. . . Lil' Ralphie??? "My name's not Lil' Ralphie, it's Lil' Petey! And my papa's innocent, I bet he was framed like Dogman was in book 6!" "Sure kid, whatever you say." And with that the cop put Petey on the car and drove off. "Come on guys! We gotta save my papa! I'll invite the rest of the gang over too!" LP says to 80-HD and Dogman. Meanwhile in the cop car, Petey and the cop sit in silence for a little bit. "So, why'd you pretend to be a police officer, dad?" Grampa pulls off the mask and says, "I'm glad you asked, son."

**Meanwhile, with LP had gathered the rest of the gang at DogMan's house. "Ok gang, we need to figure out how to rescue my papa from jail! He was framed for a robbery!" Chief and Sarah, the chief cop and the town's new reporter, look at LP confused. "There wasn't a robbery today?" Chief says. "I can confirm that, I would've know." Sarah agrees. "But, then why did Papa get arrested?" LP says. "Who arrested him?" Chief asks. "This old cop, with a big, poofy mustache, and he's balding." LP says, waving his hands from his nose to his cheeks. "We don't have a cop who looks like that." Chief says, frowning. Dogman nods his head in agreement. "Then we have an imposter! He hafta chase after that car! C'mon gang!" LP says as he stands and runs out of Dogman's house.

** "Well, you see, this is all apart of my evil plan. I'm going to make you seem like a bad guy again, then all your friends will hate you, and with the cops targeted on you, it will make it easier for me to take over the town! There's still a few kinks I need to work out, but it's pretty much set in stone." Grampa explains. "Pfft, don't be stupid, dad. Dogman and his friends can be pretty stupid at times, but they're not that dumb." "Are they now? People still see you as a criminal, Petey. A bad guy. How do you know if your friends don't feel the same way? That deep down in their hearts, they still see you as a bad guy." Petey looks at his manipulative dad, then looks away. "They're not like that. They're different." "How do you know? You should know better than anyone that people aren't always as they seem." Grampa stops the car and unlocks it. "Go back to your so called 'friends.' You can tell them what really happened, or not. Deep down, you know that what I said is true." Petey steps out of the car, and with that, Grampa drives away. Soon after, LP and the rest of the gang show up. "Papa! There you are! What happened? I thought that guy arrested you! But Chief told me that that guy was a fake cop!" "Uhh. . . It was just a misunderstanding. . ." Petey says, giving LP a reassuring smile that looked a little sad. "So who was the fake cop?" Sarah asks. "Uhm, just a guy from cat jail who doesn't like me. He threatened me, I told him that I could get Dogman and Chief to arrest him, then he got scared and drove off." "Oh. Well, I'm glad you're ok papa!" LP says, latching on to Petey's leg, giving him a hug. "Me too kid. . ."
