Unprecedented

Science Class

Riley's POV (Most of the book will be written in third person, Its just easiest for this chapter to be in her point of view)

The bell rang, signaling it was time for science. 8th period, Friday, last class of the day, all Riley wanted to do was go home, sit at her computer, and chill with her friends. "All right class, I'm Mrs. Smith. I'll be your sub for today. Mr. Tanner instructed me to let you guys have fifteen minutes of study time before your quiz." Mrs. Smith explained as she walked into the room. Riley's head shot up, alarmed about the mention of the quiz. Pulling out her laptop, Riley opened up the slides from this unit. "A beach breeze comes during the day, right?" A voice over my left shoulder asks.

 My heart rate spikes, a blush overcoming my features as I quickly reply and explain how it works. Wyatt gestures at my computer screen, double-checking that he knows the material. I quickly glance over at my friend Hannah, who has the biggest grin on her face at my current situation.

"Ok everybody, please put away your laptops. After you are finished with the quiz, watch the video about the upcoming project Mr. Tanner posted on classroom. The groups are also posted there as well. Email him if you have any questions." Mrs. Smith stated as she passed out the quizzes. 

Once I finish the quiz and turn it in, I open up my laptop to find the video. Seeing that the assignment wasn't posted yet, I switch my tab to the book I was currently reading. As I finish the chapter, a notification pops up from my email. I open up google classroom in order to view my group. As i scroll down the list, searching for my name, I find it at the very bottom.
