Riley's POV
Wyatt Anderson, his name flashed at me on the screen.
Ok, That's not too bad I thought to myself. He gets good grades and does his part on projects. As all these thoughts race around my head, Wyatt walks over, the light gleaming off his caramel-colored hair.
Leaning his forearms on the table he asks, "So, how do we want to do this? We could watch the video now, but you could come to my place after school to work on it."
I glance at Wyatt, forcing my brain to slow down. "Let me check to make sure that I can but probably."
A small grin appeared on his face at my words. I pull out my phone to send a text to my mom, silently praying for a quick reply. Someone up there must have heard me because not even ten seconds later, I felt a buzz on my phone, letting me know that she replied.
"I can come. Do you mind giving me a ride there though? My brother is taking the car so I can't drive myself." I told him
"That's what I was going to ask you next. I'll meet you by the school sign so that we can head over there together." Wyatt responded
"Cool. We should probably watch the video now before class ends." I remembered, glancing at the clock, which showed only 15 minutes left of class.
We watched the video in silence, the sound of my pounding heart filled my ears. My brain was literally going into overdrive. I'm friends with a lot of boys, but I don't normally hang out with people I'm not super close with.
The bell ranging signaling the end of class. I gather my stuff and rush out of class, hoping to
get to my locker before the hallways get crowded.
