A month has passed since Ai-san and I became best friends. In science class, a boy approached Hoshino-san and I. He had short blonde hair and blue eyes that had the same spark in Hoshino-san's eyes. But his eyes held nothing good in them like Ai-san's.

"Excuse me. I'm Hikaru Kamiki. Will you be my lab partner?" Asked Kamiki.
"Sorry, but Y/n-san is my lab partner." Answered Ai-san.
Himiki stared at me, and I saw hatred in them as he stared at me. He then bowed his head before speaking again.
"Thank you for your time, Hoshino-san." Himiki said to Ai-san. Himiki left after glaring at me one final time as I glared at him, too.

"What's wrong, Y/n-san? Did I upset you?" Ai-san asked me with watery eyes. I immediately hugged Ai-san before speaking.
"You did nothing wrong, Ai-san. It's just that I sensed a darkness in Himiki." I said to Ai-san. Ai-san looked at me worriedly for a moment.
"Is he... Like me...?" Ai-san asked me. I shook my head, making her feel better.
"He may lie, but he holds darkness and hatred in his eyes and heart." I answered Ai-san. She then moved closer to me, giving me a suspicious look.
"Speaking of lying. Did you lie to me about your mother?" Ai-san asked me seriously. I sighed, knowing that I had to tell Ai-san the truth that I've tried protecting her from.
"I did. And I'm sorry. I promise to tell you the truth after school today." I answered Ai-san's question.
"Fine. But you're meeting Ichigo after you tell me the truth." Ai-san said to me.
"I will. I promise, Ai-san." I answered Ai-san. She then did something unexpected. Ai-san kissed me on my left cheek, making me blush.
"I look forward to hearing all about it, Y/n-kun~" Ai-san said to me teasingly. We did our work while Himiki continued to stare at Ai-san and glare at me. I made sure to show how dangerous I really am by showing a bit of my power. That made him look away for the time being.
