(Chris's POV:)
Our jaws all dropped to the floor, stunned.
Now, we're all nice, polite mobs almost always, but we weren't dumb, and we weren't complete pushovers.
I had to restrain myself from yelling, but I grit my teeth and insisted, "there must me some kind of mistake or miscalculation. That's 100 golden coins per egg, which can't be right, that's over a stack of 64 coins.
[insert Chris's advanced mathematics explanation that I spared you guys from having to read here]
Any item sold in Minecraft must be no more than a stack of coins. There's just too much being charged for the dragon eggs," I concluded.
(Scorch's POV:)
I was rather impressed by Chris's argument, he made a good case.
I nodded and backed him up, "Chris is right, 500 is too much. Would you agree to 45 coins an egg?" I asked
SparkHearth raised her voice just slightly, "245 golden coins for five dragon eggs? Now, that's a bit too cheap. 55 coins an egg."(HerobrineThe2nd's POV:)
I shook my head. "50."
SparkHearth frowned, but knew she wouldn't get anything better. She muttered grumpily, "fine, deal."
We all cheered, even if it looked ridiculous right in front of SparkHearth. We all dug around in our bags for change, and Maybelle had found her 50, Endy found 35 coins and a golden carrot, which was enough for him, Chris found 30 coins and sneezed after purposely sniffing a flower, and enough gunpowder came out to cover the remaining 20, Scorch did a quick shed, (which all Blazes do so they aren't weighed down by old rods) and some old but usable blaze rods fell to the ground. Finally, I dug around in my bag and pulled out a potion of Jump Boost Two-equivalent in worth to 50 coins-and I smiled, knowing something no one else did about it, then handed that to SparkHearth.
I said, "thank you for everything, it was a pleasure of doing business with you."
"Oh, no. The pleasure is all mine," she said, and went into the hut that belonged to her, then brought out five eggs, all different. I couldn't remember which egg was what species right now, but we'd all learn in time. Even so, I just couldn't wait to find out.
